I can smell the Holy Spirit! Anyone else?

I knew someone who could see Rain coming down when the Holy Spirit was present, like when the sun shines through it, but I have never had any physical manifestation, personally.

I sure can feel the Presence, sometimes. I remember the first time I went (somewhat unwillingly) to a witness meeting. I had a difficult time believing the girl up front witnessing could have consumed rat poison and live to tell about it..but all I know is that as soon as I had entered the room, I had a strangest, fascinating stirring within myself I had ever felt.

It was sort of like drinking refreshing ice cold water while having that weightless feeling of going down a rollercoaster. It was cool!

i have experienced the Holy Spirit when I was a pentecostal christian.
I no longer believe in this crazy religion but have always (still) wondered what this Holy Spirit phenomenom was all about?

Someone took pictures at a Charismatic service. The photos showed light orbs all around the church. No one saw them during the service. They were invsible to the naked eye. Also, the Bible describes feelings and sounds, as if breezes come into the room. I'm not sure why there couldn't be other senses involved as well. On the other side, priests describe the smell of urine when they're around malevolent spirits while others describe the smell of rotten eggs (sulphur). People, who took part in REAL exorcisms, say that demons appeared like black clouds or shadows when they left the possessed. These were real ceremonies, not staged events of mesmerism. It could be that the invisible becomes known through the five senses at times.

yes, i believe you, because i too can smell the Holy Spirit,but i also can taste the sweetness of his prescence.
ive read through some of the responses you've recieved, i pray that God will open the eye's of those that dont take him seriosly. My thought to you is press on in Christ, dont let anyone distract you in the things of Christ. God Bless.

This just happened to my friend the other day. Incredible! So, I was curious and wanted to know whether anyone else experienced it. Praise the Lord!

Do you smell the Holy Spirity commin out of my ass right now?????

I'm not sure what this was that I have experienced a couple times. One day, I was at home at the top of the stairs. All of a sudden My nose picked up a very strong and pleasing scent like flowers. Almost like a ton of roses. I stood there and basked in this calming and comforting scent for the brief 5 seconds that it lingered for. After the smell dissipated, I tried to track it down all over the house. Nothing. But later in the day, when my girlfriend came over, the scent appeared again, just as strong and pleasant as the first time. What was astounding is the fact that me, my girl, and my little brother all could smell it for about 5 seconds. Then, once again, it faded away and vanished. All three of us were trying to find where the smell was coming from and couldn't find anything. It became apparent that this was no physical smell. Someone was there sans a physical body. Does anyone have any idea on who this might be?

I,too, can smell the spirit of God upon people. I am not certain what this is but am curious to learn more. Good luck and god bless you.

Yes I've only smelled it 2x before. Both times during early morning worship when the Spirit was very high. Everyone was in worship on one accord. It was beautiful! At first I thought it was someone's perfume and then I realized it was the manifestation of the Holy Spirit himself.

Pray for us the little humble people of the earth. Pray for the Gulf Oil Diaster that the creatures of the waters will forgive us. Pray that our souls will be excepted into Heaven when all is said and done.

I currently have visit by a strong energy smelling of some kind of perfected apple aroma. But other strong entities have accompanied with flower, soap, incense and old book smells like someone opened an old book. The strong entities are about 5 I guess maybe more. They radiate heat and can turn up and lower the heat at will. Sometimes they heal you but the best they do is the support they give by holding your arm. At certain times I've seen them, tall statures. I don't feel they are demons in disguise or reptilians. You can walk into a certain spot, the smell and heat is much stronger like the entity is standing there. These are not smells I have felt before and I would believe some perfume companies could walk over dead bodies to produce such a fragrance. I asked a christian friend if he could feel it as well and he did but not as strong. First time this happened my sinuses cleared instantly and I could feel the smell stronger. They seemed to be positioned in high multitude against the road sides. They guard windows, and entrances often standing outside of it. When I'm back at home the strong ones are still there.

The first thing that came into my mind were angels. I have some slight experience with spirits but these were unlike anything I've ever felt.

I was a non believer and I sunk into disease. I was a complete atheist. I slowly started to believe in something higher but I sunk deeper into this disease. I have been guided to good people helping out but now is when the mayor action has started to happen right about the time I surrendered I started to be respectful of the lord and not fearful of the bad spirits. I kept praying every night that Jesus forgive my sins and that he was lord and saviour. There was no response for over a year except some hot entities by my side. I blasphemed and I stopped but then I kept trying again.

I recently surrendered my free will and soul to god. I asked if he could take complete control over me because my life was spiraling down. Now I feel much better but many thanks to a spiritual person who helped me. I do believe however that god guided me to him. I still have a very open belief however.

I believe this partially has to do with the earth energies getting to higher vibrations and the likes but I have met many people who are feeling very bad mentally and are not feeling a thing.

I think god may have guided me to read the Revelation from the King james version bible, War scroll from the Dead sea scrolls and Slavonic Enoch. I've never read these books before.

I have also felt very drawn towards Israel lately and a great sadeness coming out of that country.

I may pray for you if you want. These entities have been here all day but they usually depart and only leave one or two weaker entities behind. I have not done any sorcery.

I can not tell everything even if I wish...

This happened to me in the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan. I had been wandering the halls and was standing with my back to a display case when I experienced the smell of something Holy. That's the only way I can describe it.
When I turned around there was a small jewel encrusted treasure box in the display case that was very old.
The caption said it had once held a part of the true cross.
It was a reliquary from the second century AD.

I get His fragrance in worship times.
Usually He smells like the dawn, thats the only
way I can describe it.

I was on the hunt today for any information I could find on smelling what I would identify as a frankincense like smell. I have experienced this twice in the last month while walking outdoors and figured it was trees or surrouding flowers- but it seemed to come on very strong in places and vanish. Last night, I woke from a dream and the only thing I remember was smelling frankincense in my dream, now when I woke, hence the google search. It might be helpful to know that I'm a Christ follower and during this same period of time have been pursuing a relentless intimacy with Him as I am going through a lot of inner healing- it was interesting to find this string of posts as it gave me something to think about.

YES YES YES! There is a definate, well I can't say odor, because its not bad, ahh, I mean fragrence, but NOT in the terms of, like, flowers or something, but to me, when I smelled the substance of spirits which I call Mitherial, and only when I was pertinent enough to either create a miracle to smell it, or just plain hit the place where the sense of smell was available to the spirit I was in occupation of, it was to me, definately a fragrence of rubber, not dis-similar to the rotten rubber ball stench of crack cocaine being smoked, but more close to the smell of a person who just had sex.

oh, i meant human spirits.

I was in several places with my spirit when the substance poured down like rain as the curtain of death closed the breach between Heaven and EDarth, where I had enterd a window, mostly at one Bar in particular when love escaped me in a fleeting tantilization. Damn, I mean I had lots of {"SPIRT"} for all the alcohol and so it enacted my spirit into multiple repetitions as I dove into the place trying to make something happen for myself. I would get closed off by the will of others or run out of time and I couldn't accomplish what I intended and my guardian angel and I would see the darkness envelop and the window close and we would sing some song which was in "vogue" or curret to our minds and "BAM" up we would go back into the clouds beyond the living gray walls" then if I was not too wasted or "spent" we would will it again, or make miracles, or just stand and scraem until some spirit helped us get back to try again. It never worked out in the end and I sometimes think that all the stun-gun attacks and electrocution caused my brain to barf up all my memory into a present I was living, but I'm back, and its not happening anymore. I had a band called Strik-9 because my dog ate it, and when i was a kid I ate a tiny bit too.

I sure could use a lot of lifting up. Been fighting depression for a few years after a divorce. Fighting with the drug dealers on the block and also the gang problem. I am getting very tired.
