Back from a 3 mo. ban. Good to see this thread again. I've raced a tandem at the national championships with a blind partner. 1st place went to the handicap olympics. We got 3rd.

Hello all,

Since reading this thread a while ago, I've purchased a tandem with my coworker. We had a great summer riding to work together. People make fun about it but it's really fun being with someone on the same cycle! You can talk together, there is a real team work on the speed, stop and pace of the ride.

Because we live in the North, I was wondering if there was winter tires for tandem cycles? We would like to continue when it's possible (not too windy or cold) to use our tandem.

Was in Daytona last week. Sure enough, saw a tandem couple, 2 guys with the racing gear on.
