when I became a professional musician, I headlined at one of the clubs where he used to play often.
we got great reviews, even of the springstein cover songs we played.
several months later, he came to record in my own little town in south jersey at a friend of mine's studio.
that's when I found out the truth about what he is really like.


as far as zz top goes, they only have a few good songs so why would their catalog be more valuable?

Blue Jean Blues is one of those good songs but that ridiculous nonsense they came out with in their later years just to make money and go on stage dressed like parodies of themselves was crap.

but what do I know? I was only a professional musician for decades who never sold their soul to the devil so I got to be on the outskirts of that disgusting business and see for myself what was really going on.

and YES, they do sign their name in blood on a contract and YES, they do what they are TOLD to do, WHEN they are told to do it.

how the fuck would I know? I said NO and went to join the air force (out of the frying pan and into the fire, basically) after some of the things I saw at an early age as a musician.

got pretty seriously injured in the AF so went back to being a musician, which was all I could do with the injuries I had.

so I never did what those other freaks did in order to get money and fame.

but don't go by me. I suffered financially for the rest of my life for it.
right now I'm six days away from living in my car.

but at least my soul is still in tact and I served my country honorably. my VA disability will allow me to feed myself and my dog and keep up with my car payments, so I got that goin' for me....



none of those people can say as much, that's for sure.

they are selling their catalogs now because they were given "advances" in their pay and had to pay it all back.

and I doubt they own their catalogs outright. I'm sure their managers, and their managers, and their managers all get a cut of some sort.


the point is -- these freaks are NOT worth your time, much less your money and worship of them. they are disgusting and will do ANYthing they are told to do, including killing people if necessary (including their own family members) so that they can stay in the limelight.
