They are all over the SE. Today would be a good example with all the weather. Down in FL we have them. The next hurricane season is coming up and now is the time to buy plasma TVs and lots of useless products to help pass the time by.

www.ready.gov is a web site that is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security and Citizen Corps.

Looks like the big push for www.ready.gov is to be prepared for natural disasters and such for 2008 with instructional videos.

The Citizen Corps, www.citizencorps.gov/councils/, is sponsored by Fema. The main mission of Citizen Corps, from what I can tell from a quick scan of the site is (quoted from site): "The Citizen Corps mission is accomplished through a national network of state, local, and tribal Citizen Corps Councils. These Councils build on community strengths to implement the Citizen Corps programs and will carry out a local strategy to have every American participate."

I'm a very strong proponent of emergency preparations.

I'm also very tired of people who are too lazy to go to a link and who don't want to do their own work. They don't want to READ anything; they don't want to DO anything. They just want someone else to translate it for them.

Sorta reminds me of how we in the USA now look at the MSM. They have to translate and regurgitate (using their subjective points of view) because we can't do it ourselves.
