I cannot see how allowing evil and suffering to affect innocent people and animals is doing anything for one's own good.

I have little doubt God exists, I just doubt what kind of Supreme Being God actual is. Everything points towards the logic that God cannot be all-knowing, all-powerful and all-loving. God must be missing either one or two of the three attributes commonly thought to portray God. Can you counter that?
