Everything's fine. We're gonna get 600 big ones coming from Congress. Don't spend it all in one place.
Was watching the $3.1 Trillion budget hearings last night. The 'Economic Stimulus Package' is totally worthless and by the time it gets here will be sending somewhat good money after bad, a waste of money and a waste producing ever much greater debt.
Bush's purposed $3.1 Trillion 2009 Budget purposal reflects an additional taxation amount of $10,000 per man, women, and child, citizen, legal resident and illegal resident cost upon all that live in the USA, and this is just for that one year's budget. This has nothing to do with the already 9+ Trillion debt this nation already has. This 9+ Trillion reflects a taxation load for all of the above already of over $30,000 per man, woman, and child. Bush's new 2009 budget would bring the total debt load up to $40,000 per man, woman and child. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 330782
Thank you for bringing up the trillion dollar budget. What I noted about it was that while medicare gets cut the Pentagon will get an 8% yes 8% increase in budget, making it about 38 billion, I think.
And it makes me wonder how much of that increase will go to secretive classified programs, maybe somebody else can look into it as I don't have time. |

TruthSeeker7 User ID: 369016 2/6/2008 2:26 PM | | Re: It is now starting to happen financially! Check this out! | Quote | From the Daily Reckoning's Five Minute Forecast:
Oy. Bank reserves in the U.S. turned negative in January for the first time since the Great Depression.
In December 2007, total bank borrowing from the Fed topped 36% of reserves. That was the highest proportion since March 1933, when it hit 46%. Back then, President Roosevelt declared a "bank holiday" to prevent bank runs.
But…“In January 2008,” writes our friend John Williams of Shadowstats.com, “the U.S. banking system met its reserves only by borrowing an amount in excess of 100% of reserves:
“Mr. Bernanke has promised not to repeat the mistakes made by the Federal Reserve in the 1930s,” Williams explains, “whereby the banking system and the money supply collapsed into a deepening, deflationary Great Depression.
“The latest data on bank reserves suggest that something along the lines of an attempted nonrepeat of 1933 is under way. Faced with a devil’s choice, the Fed has acted in the last several months with a series of emergency actions to hold the banking system together and to prevent a debilitating implosion in the money supply. The Fed will create whatever money is needed to prevent a collapse of any portion of the financial system.”
That can’t be good…
Neither can this… the markets greeted “Stupid Tuesday” with a huge, across-the-board sell-off – the worst of its kind since October. The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq all fell 3%. The horrid ISM report we mentioned yesterday caught most of the blame.
And as usual, market malaise in the U.S. spread to Asia. In Hong Kong, the benchmark Hang Seng fell 5.4%. The Nikkei 225 lost 4.7%. Shanghai gave back 1.5% of the 8% gains it posted on Monday. |

but seriously... remember to get paper and writing utensils as well. many people just don't even care to do so, but it is a good idea to keep a "journal" during such times. helps you keep track of the seasons, weather patterns, etc... and also, you have your story written somewhere. you can share it with your children's children if you make it, and you'll make some future historian's day if you don't Quoting: Awakened Me

I have a heggieweggie feeling that the Treasury is augmenting it's daily cash needs by the usual suspects and a daily goose from operations in the market from offshore shadow trading accounts...it started as a little dab will do you...some extra extra pocket money and has snow-balled into a major angle as the market for treasury paper has dried up...as an extra bonus it backstops the dollar. Teh ppt has become the alt A level 3 daily daily roll in the cash account. High strangeness abounds. |

Too many global currencies tied to the American Dollar. They can't sell to us if their products become too expensive. As I point out to people, since the US has floated so much debt overseas it is to the advantage of those counties holding the debt to keep the dollar strong. Note that Japan and Chine always prop up the dollar.
I also point out to people that the selling of debt notes was part of the strategy of the Fed so as to create the present condition where countries are interested in keeping the dollar healthy. |

Magi User ID: 369096 2/6/2008 4:10 PM | | Re: It is now starting to happen financially! Check this out! | Quote | This is hard evidence that the Federal Reserve Ponzi scheme is now bankrupt as of January 30, 2008 ~ based on stockholders investment of minimum $40 Billion USD.
In the Federal Reserve's own Table ~ in the second column on 1-16-08, reserves for the first time dropped to $198 Million. Thence, on 1-30-08, to MINUS 8.1751 BILLION.
This means that their $500 Trillion pyramid of world financial control is now backed by stockholders.
"Why?" you may ask. The world woke up (except for the sheeple/"voters") ~ and will no longer buy their debt.
How much dirt can you get from a black hole in the ground? Since debt is no longer an asset ~ the "house of cards" should collapse.
The military card is all they have left. The problem is ~ it was just used by Bush on his last trip to the Middle East. The Saudi's caved, but will the Iran-Russia-China axis cave and keep riding a dead horse, to their peril ~ or opt for World War III? Some choice.
If the dollar is dumped as the reserve currency by the oil cartel, they risk the nuclear card. If they don't dump the worthless dollar, it is black hole time for our civilization.
This is not theory. It is cold, hard numbers.

Just incase anyone is interested, im thinking about buying a little bit of solar equipment to make sure i have power incase none is available.
I know solar is expensive, but if you think about it it times like these, if the grid fails, your electricity bills will be nil, so all you really need is a setup that can sustain a fridge and freezer constantly so you can hold food, and so you dont have to worry about going to the gathering center and getting vacinated with god knows what.
I have been looking at this setup for a while now and it is fully complete, with all the necisary components you will need. It is plug and play.
Now, it is aprox. $1200 for everything you will need, with extra panels and bateries extra and i know $1200 is alot of money to some ppl, but think of what it will cost you if you dont consider this option.
ps. if you are getting tax money back, plus that stimulus money you might consider this as your purchase. I know i am.

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 368105 If the grid fails you better worry about more than having your refrigerator running because when the whole system collapses everyone will be at your door to kill you for what is in your solar powered refrigerator. |

Bush to seek $515 billion for Pentagon in 2009
Fri Feb 1, 2008
WASHINGTON, Feb 1 (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush will seek $515.4 billion for the Pentagon for fiscal 2009, up 7.5 percent from the funds Congress approved for this year, according to Pentagon documents obtained by Reuters on Friday.
