Just Don't know (OP) User ID: 316906 United States 02/19/2008 05:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No churches for me. And I don't send my address to mail oreder companies, or anything like that. I had only been at this address for about six months. I don't even have a listed number. I just can't understand how they got my address. But what I really want to know is, what's up with it? Does the book really contain hidden knowledge? Or is it, as I suspect, a scam? For those who may know a little about this, the return address is in Grove City, Ohio. There is no company or business name, and all of their correspondence is sent via first class mail. |

Full of Mind control techniques with slanted views. they were totally against religions. Its just someone's demented game in thousands of ways to say it. Mine came from that same location. they are a version of the Nouveau Tech Society. It has many names to hook people in with. Save your money. No churches for me. I swear I read an inside memo that the introductory fees for Scientology were 139.95. They must have raised the price.Maybe that's just for the first introductory pamphlets now, hehe inflationary fees. What a joke. Anonymous Coward User ID: 447146 United States 06/21/2008 02:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I recieved a letter about a month ago from a place claiming to be a secret society. In that letter, they claimed that they had looked at my 'profile', and that I possessed the qualities that they are looking for. They proceeded to tell me that they will send me the information about their secret society, "absolutely free!". Quoting: for $139.95 316906I was more than a bit curious, since the letter was addresses to me specificly, and I had only lived at this address for a few months. I had not forwarded my address from my last place of residence, and there was no way they could get the address from elsewhere, that I know of. So, out of curiousity, I replied to them, with a few questions of my own, and a word of warning. I requested a copy of the 'profile' that they had on me, and documentation of the people or entities that they recieved my address from. I then informed them that I do not respond to mail that I deem unsolicited, or scam mail, and will not be sending them any money if they request me to do so. A few weeks later, I recieved the information they promised me, but without the answers to my questions. The information seemed to be nothing more than positive feedback from "current members". It also included an order form for the "real information", with notification that I had until the end of the week to respond. Needless to say, I threw it in the garbage, and forgot about it. Well, today, I recieved another letter from them. This one states how concerned they are that I didn't respond, and a few more details about the info I will be recieving. In this letter, they state that this is a thousand page volume of secrets that reach back 2300 years, that families like the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and other dynasties have past down from generation to generation. This book is even personalized, with my family name printed on the front cover. A supposed $50,000.00 dollar value, but for me, and for a very limited time only, it is only $139.95 I know this is a scam, and I recognize the marketing ploy being used. Force you into making a hastey and unthoughtful decision by limiting your time to respond. That's a classic "ACT NOW!", and "FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY!" scheme used by late night infomercials and As-Seen-ON-TV specials. But my reasoning for posting this here is, Has anyone here recieved similar correspondance? Do any of you have any insight into this "Secret Society"? I'm not about to blindly send off $140.00 to anybody, but I do want to find out more about this, it just seems a bit fishy. Please let me know if you know anything about this. OP, was it this society? [link to www.scam.com] |

Didn't believe us, did you. Didn't think we could find you. Thought you could just call us a scam. BIG MISTAKE. We offered you a chance to join us and learn all the super secret powers we have. These powers could have been yours to use. But not anymore. No, you will only learn of these powers as we use them against you. Did you feel that? Ya, that was just a little nudge to know that we can reach you wherever you hide. ker-jee-oh ker-jee-oh ker-jee-oh Got curious and read that last line didn't you. Good luck trying to sleep tonight. Of course, $139.95 could make all those problems go away. But only for a limited time. |

It is a simple trick and too bad people still fall for it. Or maybe soem asshole down the street simply looked at the nametag on the mailbox outside your door! In such cases I'd recommend always to go to the police. The monute you start responding they will hook up with you and you'll never get rid of these sick minds. Better be carefull! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 542303 United Kingdom 11/19/2008 10:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Look. I cannot speak hard facts about what I know. But please take my word for it. REAL secret societies would NEVER ask you to join in return for a fee. Secret societies are not commercially orientated. They are about acquiring power and influence. You either get invited by a long-serving member or (more likely) get introduced to friends of one and then get vetted whilst your head is turned the other way, so to speak. You will never know when this is happening..... |
