State health officials in Hawaii said they have contacted almost 80 percent of the 240 passengers who flew on board a plane from San Diego to Hawaii with a measles-infected baby over the weekend. Officials advised passengers who aren't sure if they've been vaccinated against measles to check with their physicians. Measles is caused by a virus easily spread from person to person. About one to three of every 1,000 measles patients in the U.S. dies. Most adults and children in the U.S. are immunized against the disease, but babies cannot receive measles vaccines until they are at least 1 year old. The 10-month-old infant on Hawaiian Airlines Flight 15 to Honolulu was exposed to a confirmed case of measles at a medical clinic in San Diego late last month.)

I think the Chicago drug-resistant flu outbreak maybe more of a concern than measles.
