ooh all the helpless wittle wictims are going to be hungwy widdle diddums cos dey don't even know how to plant a seed in da gwoundsie woundsie ... Uh...ok...This article has to do with yeilds, not lack of knowledge. My comment was to ppl here. The major prob. are going to be in china, russia, india Plant a vegetable, fruit and nut garden. Its something that even the pre-historic cavemen could accomplish ... also keep things like pigeons, chickens and rabbits. Pigeons and rabbits breed prolifically and chickens produce a constant supply of eggs .... if you just gotta have your meat of course.

Growing and seed saving with heirloom seeds takes alot more care, hence learning how to do it. Especially with veg such as corn. A chicken should give on average an egg a day, but you have to buy specific rabbits that are for eating, otherwise the yeild wont be very much at all.
