Sir !

The first thing you must sell first, is "Yourself" I have been in sales for over "thirty" years, and never take no for a answer, "good times" or "bad times" Good Luck !

Why do you say the economy is "tanking fast"? Our nation's economy is booming ... yeah, the subprime mortgage market has taken a bit of a hit, but that's just a tiny portion of our economy. Everything else is humming along, no layoffs (outside of mortgages/housing), wages are up, consumer spending is still very strong, CEO and executive pay/bonuses is at an all-time high, etc. The only thing "bad" about our economy is that the libs refuse to give George Bush credit for what is really one of the greatest economic recoveries in our nation's history.

People still eat. Maybe a taco truck or hot dog cart would do well,-- go park it near a factory or construction site at lunch. Mexican food is the cheapest to cook so you can keep prices low.

BTW, the rich are still rich, and they love to have things done for them. Yardwork, cleaning, running errands, feeding/walking/bathing their pets, organizing. I have a friend who gives birthday parties for rich kids...she organizes the whole day and makes hundreds of dollars each time.

Let's expand on this thought:

Farm organic grains for food & fuel: corn, soybeans, wheat

Grow organic vegetables & fruits for food & sales at Farmers' Markets

Grow organic herbs for medicine & culinary

Raise organic animals for food, work & sales:
Easy- chickens for meat & eggs, rabbits for meat & pelts, worms for fishing-compost aeration-fish farm;
Moderate- pigs for meat, goats for meat-dairy-mohair, sheep for wool, catfish for meat-pay fishing-stocking tanks, trout for meat-pay fishing-stocking tanks;
Hard- cattle for meat & milk, horses, mules.

Farm-made products: organic cheese, organic butter, organic milk cream, Ethanol, Biodiesel, home-spun wool, furs, organic whole grain flour, organic herbal medicines, dehydrated organic foods, cured organic meat products: (beef jerkies, cured hams, summer sausages, pepperoni, salami) arts & crafts, etc.

Also, rural land can be used as a deer-lease, public pay-for-fishing tank, golf driving range, outdoor gun range, etc.

What else?

Security details for communities. The rich are going to be scared to death when the plebes start searching for food, etc. and they'll pay for armed security, sort of like a local Blackwater group.
