Oh, I am so glad somebody finally wants to discuss The John Birch Society. Thank You.

I would say, I truly appreciated videos 2 and 3 of the collection. I really enjoy the focus on the difference of Democracy vs. Republic. It really isn't discussed much.

I choose to post subjects, not simply because I support them whole-heartedly, but also, for discussion at times. I feel like, the John Birch Society is relevant at this time. Especially with the Politics, the discussion of candidate, Congressman Ron Paul.

I am glad you rode in with a strong opinion. Sometimes thats just the spark it takes to get some others in a discussion. Thanks!

"It was what America prevented government from doing that made America great."

And now that that same government is in position to more and more prevent the American from doing is the loss of what this nation had been all about.

It is good to actually hear about the JBS from the JBS itself. I have heard about this group for decades but never took a good look at their "understanding" of things.

Certainly, in my cursory viewing, the racism and sexism have to go. But there are many things that seem correct and right to me about some of the JBS national view. As to Communism and Fascism and even Nazism I am still exploring just where the JBS is coming from from its own literature and videos. Communism, Fascism, and Nazism are all definitely NOT Americanism.

Hidden underneath alot of these issues is one thing, Physical Economic systems vs the Political Economic systems. The difference between rule by democracy and rule by a term limited (s)elected oligrachy of 535+9+1 whose actions are to be restricted by the restrictions set forth in the US Constitution as amended.

Another difference is the wealth produced by production vs the wealth accumulated by raiding those who do produce.

One of the earliest exercises in Communism took place in one of the American Colonies, that exercise lasted only twenty years before they decided to do something different, something far more productive and effective.

One should not hide behind a mental wall of dogma one should view all the theories of history and then decide for one's self which ones seem to ring true and make logical sense. Belittling something before you deeply understand it only belittles your own reasoning and thinking capabilites.

America has certainly taken a wrong turn somewhere and it would behoove us all to take another look at all that has gone on before and the socio-economic-political terrain of those events and decisions and maybe we can all figure out in the majority at least where we zigged when we should have zagged.

But until we return to honest elections of men of sound principle (once we individually have discover what is sound principle and what is fantasy) then we might be able to turn this nation into a different road.

Thanks for posting this OP.

IMH0 people need to take a much closer look at the doctrines of Lyndon LaRouche pertaining to Physical Economy as well as his analysis of world history over the past 500 years. Then compare that understanding with all the other systems of understanding. By comparative analysis we may be able to get a much better grasp of what has happened and who done it so that we can change this nation and the course it is on. It becomes very obvious to most of us that the MSM has been attempting to sell us a bill of bad goods for many years. Maybe we really do need to really listen to and begin to understand what it is that some of the MSM called "fringe candidates" over the past 40 years have been trying to tell us. Such as Perot, Nader, LaRouche, Ron Paul, and many others.

It is evident that one's theory of History both American and World History will determine one's politial and economic views.

The control of Historical Theory, public opinion, and of Dictionaries is the control over the masses.

Re: John Birch Society Republic vs Democracy Overview of America Constitution Bill of Rights....You know, Its Just a Damn Piece of paper!;)
The second video in terms of the political spectrum is, IMHO, in vast error. The Political Spectrum in NOT One Dimensional as they show with only one axis, it is at the very least a Two Dimensional construct. The Libertarian Party's "World's Smallest Political Quiz" serves to illustrate this point.

The X axis is indeed from individual rights and liberties on the right to social rights and liberties on the left. The balance between the needs of the one (on the right) to the needs of the collective all (on the left).

The Y axis is that range from all out anarchy to complete and total state control of very single thing in one's life. As long as people insist on sticking to the left-right one deminsional false political spectrum view, they will remain very easy for the MSM to control.

From the angle of Political Science, a Republic is nothing more or less than a term limited selected oligrachy restrained by a legal document called a Constitution that limits that oligrachies power over the people in mass and in individual. That Oligrachy then by the process of majority vote amongst its members determines what the laws of the Republic will be, but within the limitations imposed on it by that Constitution. This is often termed a Constitutional Republic, which is a term limited law restrained oligrachy selected by popular (in some cases) public vote.

One of the pillars of the "Checks and Balance" was broken by the 17th Amendment. It was a very stupid thing to do, as it created a system in which the nation government would simply now be empowered to turn the States into merely administrative districts for the National government, hence ending the true federalism that the original (with the Bill of Rights) Constitution had laid down. Certainly one of the steps to get back closer to the heart of what this Republic was meant to be is to repeal the 17th Amendment.

Videos 3 and 4 give a good overview of the Economic Spectrum as well as a half away decent definition of Capital. The Economic Spectrum is not however a One Dimensional Spectrum but at least a Two Dimensional one.

As for Free Enterprise Capitalism what happens in non state controled capitalism is that sooner or later a few people end up with all the Capital. This is termed Monopolistic Capitalism or even Predatory Capitalism. Again, like the Political Spetrum the most benifical for all turns out to be a Centralist system, again viewing it from a 2 Dimensional Economic System.

Here we see the utility of not used Cartesian abstract spatial constructs but rather Reimann abstract spatial constructs which can be further understood by studying LaRouche, et. al.

So we have two constructs political and economic that could as well be mapped on two spheres, the Political Sphere and the Economic Sphere.

But there is a third component, that of Moraility, both individuals morality and the net effect of all those individua moralities when each is applied to the others across society. Morality may well best be viewed as the Laws of the God/ess as IT has dictated to mankind, or at least ITS followers. This applies even as to the moral world of the diest, theist and even the atheist. Each individual person has their own unique sense of morality, so again it becomes a balancing act of the "Morality of the One" vs "the Moralities of the All". This produces yet another 2 Dimensional spectrum to map the morality into. Each religion (and yes, I do include atheism as a religion) has its own "god" ordained Moral Code of what its object of worship deems to be good or evil, right or wrong, thoughts and actions towards one's self as well as toward other human beings and even other lifeforms.

Hence we have the Political Economic Moral spheres that make up the whole of the terrain map for the effective limitations of government over the people these governments are supposed to be protecting.

Because of the moral angle there will always be those of one morality that find those of a different morality are preying upon them. It matters not what abstractive those two different moralities represent or stand for, the mere fact that they are different may well be enough for each to to view the other as the predator and itself the prey and as prey to become equal predator. Hence the predatory nature of the man that is both straving and dying of thirst. Such will resort to anything their "true" morality will allow even to the point of killing another human being and eating them for food and water. Governments are to be established to protect the life of both the prey and the predator as much as is humanly possible, that is the only true reason and just reason for governments to bear the sword to protect both the lives of the prey and the predator. In this sense government has to take the role of the person who successfully teaches the cat not to eat the mouse or kill it and teach the mouse not to fear the cat, something that almost seems against nature itself, and yet it appeals to a higher nature. In this sense it is the government that does not rule but sets the example for both the cat and the mouse to follow, let the cat eat cake and teach the cat to be happy to eat cake in this sense.

These videos do provide a nice starting point overview as does Mike Badnerick's Constitutional classes, but neither are the end of the subjects at hand only a begining overview and survey.

In regard to what Good Rev. "Jolly" Roger had to state, I did notice that at least in these four videos they stepped over the Declaration of Independence which states "We hold these truthes to be self evident that all men are created equal".

I do not yet know (haven't read enough of the JBS material) to discover for myself where they stand on the Declaration of Independence.

And again Do they (JBS) do over look just who is meant by "We The People" and "to ourselves and our Posterity" means as used in the US Constitution by the very people that wrote it? Where they speaking only of themselves and their descendants?

There was at the time of the writing of the US Constitution and the debates about it an Owellian thing done. Those that were in fact in favor of a single nationwide single centeral government (as opposed to just a cofederation of Soverign States) called themselves by the exact opposite term, they called themselves Federalists, when in fact they were Anti-Federalists. The true Federalists then when they started to take the opposite position in the debates felt they had little other choice than to call themselves Anti-Federalists because the term "federalist" had already been co-opted by the true anti-federalists. The True federalists espoused something much more in line with the original Articles of Confederation which had set up a Federalist government of Soverign States in agreement and cooperation with each other for the common welfare and defense. Such Orwellian doublespeake has confused the discussion ever since and it has confused and muddle the study of political science as a whole. The MSM was just a controlled and corrupte then in 1789 as it is today, there was just less of it, but that gave it even more impact.

What America, IMHO, really needs to guard against is Democratic Socialism. That is the cancer that has destroyed this nation.

I am glad you enjoyed that, also speaking of amendments, one should take a look at the 16th and especially at the 14th Amendment, a very interesting discussion of the 14th can be found on GLP by search for "14th Nervous Breakdown". I think you will find it relavent to many things currently going on today in light of the illegal immigration question as well as the "anchor baby" issue.

The repuiblic versus democracy is really irrelevant anymore as we are in a facist state. So the Birch argument goes, in a pure democracy as in Greece where all participated lead to ruin because the lazy majority voted to leach off the productive minority. But with a constitutional republic all those problems are solved.

I was a bircher for a couple of years. You were expected to read the "Blue Book" at least once a year which is sort of the anti-commie equivalent of Chiarman Mao's red book.

Their heyday was in the Reagan era when the "evil empire" was still a viable threat.

They did put on a nice production of South Pacific and had a nice gayle in Orange County with McManus speaking about the evils of communism. I remember once attending a meeting where we had a Russian defector discussing the three aspects of caste in the USSR - profession, party membership and proximity to Moscow not necissarily in that order.

They had a lot of interesting books and tapes and they were pretty suspicious of me as I recall. Don McAlvaney was running tours to South Africa to try and gin up support against the anti-aparthied movement which was believed to be run by ardent commies exploiting racial tensions to install a commie puppet. The necklacings and all that (where they light a tire around a person's neck).

I used to think McManus was off on the NWO but now I don't.

Reminds me - I need to reup my New American subscription. The writers aren't Time or Newseek but it gives a unique perspective you don't elsewhere.

I cut my teeth on the real political agenda by reading the book, "None Dare Call It Treason", (1966) by John Stormer, a member of the JBS. All of my life, I had heard the praises of Roosevelt sung to the sky! After reading that book, I knew we were in trouble.

Thousands of people were sent informational material, but weren't ready to face the facts, so we have come to this point in time where the nation is under control of the insiders.
