Sorry about the Whoa ah, but I've got it now.

5° Sagittarius and 5° Gemini is where the galactic plane (Milky Way) intersects the sun's ecliptic plane. It's called the galactic axis.

The other axis is the March 21st and September 21st equinoxes where the Earth's equatorial plane and the sun's ecliptic plane intersect. It's called the vernal axis.


On June 20th during the summer solstice those two axes happen to be at right angles.

And something i didn't realize, this is probably the culmination of a 25,000 precessional year.

We've got the Piscean ending when the sun on March 21st moves into Aquarius, notionally that was on May 7th 1998 although the sun on March 21st is still in Pisces until the year 2597, and we think we've got the end of the Precessional year this month, but we don't know when the Galactic Year or Great Cycle Orbit ends.
