If Milla was born in what is now the Ukraine...why is she considered an American model/actress? I realize she moved here when she was 5 and grew up in Los Angelas..but doesn't that still make her Ukrainian?

Second, there is no "now" about it, it has been Ukraine for hundreds of years - far longer than there has been a United States.
Third, the most beautiful women in the world are found in Kiev and the rest of Ukraine. Odessa in the summer leaves So Cal far behind and is enough to drive a man crazy!

the op has a point though, I thought she had come over in her late teens , not when she was 5, in all her movies and comercials until about 5 yrs ago you could still here her accent, if shes been here since she was 5 it shouldn't be that strong

I simply believe Ukraine deserves to be referred to in the correct manner, so I nicely point that out when I see the common error you made. You do not live in THE America, and people do not live in THE England or THE Russia.
