It's a common logical misconception that death is instantaneous. After a certain peak of activity and conscience, a person turns off and starts to die. This can happen in your early twenties and go on until your eighties. But it varies depending on the individual. A volatile reaction due to this charge of polarity propagates the soul to higher realms, and if you are strong enough, you may get into these higher realms and stay there for good. Some decide to come back though. Some "die" like, say, around 43 years old, but their physical bodies continues to exist in this realm, but just as an retrograded piece of flesh. The soulless "body" decays alive. Look around you, there is a lot of these decaying walking corpses running around these days. The market knows this and makes it best to use them as fuel (working force) and guinea pigs.

Death is a change of polarity, the completion of a cycle, that propagates the soul to higher realms. And it does not necessarily happen at once.

Well here is one "fundie" who knows a little about spiritual dimensions, so let me take a shot at it.

First, Death and Hell are dimensional "gatekeepers" so to speak to the multiple dimensions that were created primarily to hold the dead until the final judgment. According to scriptures, Death and Hell are the last enemies to be cast into the lake of fire, so it seems that both of these principalities are more along the lines of the "fallen variety" of angelic host.

At the "Great White throne judgment" of Revelation 20:11-15 gives this account of what happens to those in these holding dimensions. "vs.13, "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and Death and Hell delivered up the dead which were in them (plural meaning multiple dimensions): and they were judged every man according to his works." vs.14, " And death and hell were cast into the Lake of fire, this is the second death."

So here is clear evidence that once a person dies, and is transfered to the astral planes of the various holding dimensions that is not the end of it, that there will be a day of reckoning in which each person will be judged according to their works. vs.15,"And whosoever was not found in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." And that my friend is the end of all things if you happen to be cast into the lake of fire which burneth day and night and the worm dieth not. Eternal burning and suffering. Oh well. That's why the decisions of this life are so important, and those who reject Jesus Christ are called fools.
