It is one thing to say "Well, the mean trend for the world temperature has gone up for the last hundred years and seems to be tending in that direction, and your claim that because it is cold where you are, for one year (A La Nina year, we knew from the historical record this would be chilly!)that the last hundred odd just don't count?

You morons. We have had global warming for the last 100 years with hard data to prove it. The global climate has been following a cycle, sped up artificialy by man, and is now in the latter stages of the cycle.
What comes next exactaly is not known, but it does not look good. The plant is rapidly cooling with no signs of stopping.

Well... it's for sure getting warmer out here in boonies of northwest Kansas. Gardening-wise, and for example... we were pretty much in-between zones 4&5 15 years ago, and now we're officially in zone 6, and even edging up a bit on zone 7. Consequently speaking, lol, we are now getting snails out there as well.
