Anonymous Coward User ID: 1273063 United States 03/04/2011 10:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm INFJ, and Pisces. I wonder how many INFJ's are Pisces, since the Pisces descriptions come close to being INFJ? Quoting: OTOCI'm pisces and I'm INT(J/P) I say this because of my result's INTJ Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging Strength of the preferences % 78 88 88 1 Pretty cool. I was born on the 6th, near the middle of the Pisces period. I don't believe in astrology, I do, however, believe that it is adaptation to the seasons that explains commonality among personalities occurring among people born during the same month or time period. In other words, animals, and humans, are born with the ability to easily, hormonally, and physically, adapt to the first few months of birth. Animals born in the spring tend to be more cheerful, easy going, and food supplies tend to be greater after the spring months. Animals born in the fall tend to be cautious, nearly paranoid, and survivalists due to the harsh winter conditions they are about to face. That is my observation, anyway. interesting |

Just like being alone sometimes to think. that is why there are different levels of introverts. you can be from 1 to 100. so a 1 would of course be a more outgoing introvert. a fun loving outgoing person who needs to be alone a lot more than an extrovert would. extroverts usually don't like being by themselves to just think and be. I am also an intovert that likes people most of the time, however I feel drained if I have to be around the same group for more than a day....need my alone time. Maybe it was already said, but some people get energized from being with people, while others are drained....I'm one of the ones that get drained. Although I enjoy many of the energized ones...I do think of them as energy vampires.... your thought..... yep, the extroverts expend so much energy that they have to get it back some how. so they sometimes end up sucking it out of other people to get their fix. they probably go after introverts since we conserve out energy. that has been my experience. introverts just conserve their energy usually so they don't have to do this. and introverts know how to get their energy back without getting it from others. getting alone time usually does it for them as alone time for an extrovert can be a death sentence.LOL |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1273063 United States 03/04/2011 10:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Contrary to what most people think, an introvert is not simply a person who is shy. In fact, being shy has little to do with being an introvert! Shyness has an element of apprehension, nervousness and anxiety, and while an introvert may also be shy, introversion itself is not shyness. Basically, an introvert is a person who is energized by being alone and whose energy is drained by being around other people. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 333357Introverts are more concerned with the inner world of the mind. They enjoy thinking, exploring their thoughts and feelings. They often avoid social situations because being around people drains their energy. This is true even if they have good social skills. After being with people for any length of time, such as at a party, they need time alone to "recharge." When introverts want to be alone, it is not, by itself, a sign of depression. It means that they either need to regain their energy from being around people or that they simply want the time to be with their own thoughts. Being with people, even people they like and are comfortable with, can prevent them from their desire to be quietly introspective. Being introspective, though, does not mean that an introvert never has conversations. However, those conversations are generally about ideas and concepts, not about what they consider the trivial matters of social small talk. Introverts make up about 60% of the gifted population but only about 25-40% of the general population. [link to giftedkids.about.com] w00t! Post from long ago...but OMG, it is me! that is a good explanation of an introvert; a person who gets energy from having alone time instead of becoming an energy vampire which hurts others. |

They know things intuitively, without being able to pinpoint why, and without detailed knowledge of the subject at hand. They are usually right, and they usually know it. Consequently, INFJs put a tremendous amount of faith into their instincts and intuitions. INFJs have uncanny insight into people and situations. They get "feelings" about things and intuitively understand them. As an extreme example, some INFJs report experiences of a psychic nature... The INFJ themselves do not really understand their intuition at a level which can be verbalized. Consequently, most INFJs are protective of their inner selves, sharing only what they choose to share when they choose to share it. They are deep, complex individuals, who are quite private and typically difficult to understand. INFJs hold back part of themselves, and can be secretive... (umm, that would explain the 'elective mutism'...) ************************************************************ I think that INFJ's tend to operate out of the subconscious... and that would be where the intuition/psychic thing comes from. homey don't play that |
