SO sad, this is the first I've heard of Patrick's sickness. wow. I'm truely saddened for his wife and children. They have been one of those rare hollywood breeds that have endured the tests of fame and time in their marriage. anything after 'but' is bullshit! Anonymous Coward User ID: 7315 United States 03/05/2008 01:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Steve Jobs also has pancreatic cancer. During a routine abdominal scan, doctors had discovered a tumor growing in his pancreas. While a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is often tantamount to a swiftly executed death sentence, a biopsy revealed that Jobs had a rare - and treatable - form of the disease. gsbltd (OP) User ID: 386150 United States 03/05/2008 07:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Swayze's publicists released further information late this afternoon denying that he has only weeks left to live; the statement, which included comments from Swayze's personal physician suggested the actor's disease was not as advanced as previously publicised and that he is continuing to work on his professional projects. These comments in spite of the reality that Pancreatic cancer is highly aggressive, uncurable and that 96% of patients succumb to the disease within 6-9 months after diagnosis... with the remaining 4% living only five years longer. GRIM statistics, but true nevertheless. |
