Message Subject 63000 jobs lost in USA in feb., fueling recession anxiety. Unemployment rate declines, but that's because there are fewer people in the workforce

Actually there are PLENTY of people in the workforce. The fact that NAFTA has exported millions of jobs from the US to overseas explains why there are so many people on unemployment looking for non-existent jobs.

In the meantime, the illegals are taking up the slack in the minimum wage jobs that 'Americans don't want' as quoted by G.W. Bush. Look around you. When the government says employment is growing, but that they're 'worried', they're lying. Nothing new there.

If the government was so concerned about jobs, they would shred NAFTA and GATT and start the manufacturing sector up in this country big time. We can only do 'service industry' for so long - a country must export its goods for its economy to grow.

It is now normal for both adults in any one household to be holding down two jobs. Most of those jobs are in the service industry such as fast food, Wal-Mart, etc.

Boeing just lost a huge tanker contract to Airbus putting out at the minimum 7,000 people out of potential work. These are highly trained and skilled individuals. What's going to happen to them? Oh, the senators are mad-as-hell now.

At this rate, Americans are truly destined to become the next boat people; rowing themselves overseas to find a job. Not good.

Rising energy prices is making the situation intolerable. Someone seems determined to remake the US into a third world country. The answer is WHY?
