Job losses: Worst in 5 years
Payrolls sink in February, fueling recession anxiety. Unemployment rate declines, but that's because there are fewer people in the workforce.

Re: 63000 jobs lost in USA in feb., fueling recession anxiety. Unemployment rate declines, but that's because there are fewer people in the workforce
Actually there are PLENTY of people in the workforce. The fact that NAFTA has exported millions of jobs from the US to overseas explains why there are so many people on unemployment looking for non-existent jobs.

In the meantime, the illegals are taking up the slack in the minimum wage jobs that 'Americans don't want' as quoted by G.W. Bush. Look around you. When the government says employment is growing, but that they're 'worried', they're lying. Nothing new there.

If the government was so concerned about jobs, they would shred NAFTA and GATT and start the manufacturing sector up in this country big time. We can only do 'service industry' for so long - a country must export its goods for its economy to grow.

It is now normal for both adults in any one household to be holding down two jobs. Most of those jobs are in the service industry such as fast food, Wal-Mart, etc.

Boeing just lost a huge tanker contract to Airbus putting out at the minimum 7,000 people out of potential work. These are highly trained and skilled individuals. What's going to happen to them? Oh, the senators are mad-as-hell now.

At this rate, Americans are truly destined to become the next boat people; rowing themselves overseas to find a job. Not good.

Rising energy prices is making the situation intolerable. Someone seems determined to remake the US into a third world country. The answer is WHY?

are unemployment rates not also determined by how many individuals are actually eligible for unemployment benefits?

And still they have opened their borders for what was it 6 months without guards?
And I said, "What is this, the burning bush? For God's sake, I'm not Moses."

And the Voice said to me: "And I'm not God. What has that got to do with it?"

but the given percentage of the unemployment rate does not cover those that are self employed or those whose unemployment benefits have ran out.. I am self employed but do not pay into unemployment as its a scam . I used to pay into unemployment but when I went to use it I only recieved $76.00 a week. what a joke.

if your unemployment benifits expire, you are no longer unemployed according to the gov stats, you are in a different class and not talked about

the actual number of people unemployed/underemployed has to be mind numbing

and the worst is yet to come

there has been plenty of threads around here on what to do to prepare, if you haven't,,,, oh well

sure, he has only a few more months to work, a lifetime of benifits and income, secret service protection, and a ranch in paraguay ontop of a large aquifier, including a fully staffed military base and airstrip

unless of course the people rise up before then, he will have to reside in his multi billion dollar bunker complex

Sure, the economy isn't in the dumpster because of the price of gasoline, which affects everything.

I'm sure that there are plenty of pissed off Americans that will guarantee that his Paraguy Paradise isn't. I think that country could change their laws re: war criminals. Money can only buy you so much. You can run but you can't hide. After him and his cronies are done raping our country his justice will be served. I think we should all just move to Paraguy. Can you imagine being surrounded by hateful neighbors? Jeez, after half of us have lost our homes, life in Paraguy might look good.
