But my point is that asshole drug company's actually make drugs to MAKE you adapt to a disfunctional world. How fucked is that. |

You are so right, I tried Paxil for about three weeks, and not only did I feel totally numb and sedated, I felt like my IQ had dropped about 80 points, there were big gaps between my thoughts, and I had to really struggle to find a word I was looking for. It's scary to think that so many people are walking around in that state. I think if you are suicidal or suffering deeply every day, antidepressants might be a good thing, but for most people, I think they are toxic. |

Actually I will go as far to say that I think alot of mental disorders are not even real at all and just an excuse for the government to overmedicate people to make them easy to control. No doubt this society is messed up and I think that the drugs are also going to inhibit the spiritual awakening that needs to be happening throughout mankind. You have to be AWARE of whats going on in order to change. |

How cruel is that? Quoting: Nugan... lol, to me it just sounds downright crazy... but then too, I also thinks that trying to cover up most anything that goin' on for ya, or that ol' "out of sight out of mind" kinda stuff, and/or that 'let's pretend it's not there or that it didn't happen' crappola... is just pretty dang crazy as well. Course now, lol, I also thinks that life is about 'getting into' and not about 'looking for some easy ways out'. |

It hurts. Send hugs please x Quoting: Nothing Is TrueYou'll be Ok. Get of that shit and see the truth. Good luck. Quoting: RITALIN 379467Tell me about it. I stopped taking Exfexor 3 weeks ago and still suffering withdrawl symptoms and mood swings. You feel the pain without them but its better than living like a zombie. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 286176 United States 03/07/2008 07:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yep, I took anti-depressants after my son passed, my husband did not approve and kept telling me, you're supposed to be depressed, your kid just died. I didn't listen, I had to go back to work and was trying not to feel it. I was on them a year and more and when I finally weaned myself off them, that pain that I was trying to avoid was still there and seething. It is natural to have ups and downs, it is natural to be depressed when terrible things happen. I have learned, totally prescription free now(yea!), that ups and downs are what make up human. And being human and feeling is far cooler than being a zombie, in my humble opinion. |

Winningjob User ID: 385114 United States 03/07/2008 08:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was at the Doctor's office a couple of weeks ago (maybe less) I took my mother as she can not see well enough to drive. I have NEVER see the doctor's office fuller than full...I mean people were actually leaving..some rescheduling. Anyway.... EVERY SINGLE PATIENT THAT CAME OUT had a bag of "goodies" even my mother was given free anti-depressents..unreal...seems to me EVERYONE needs to take them now and godforbid too as a lot of the increased violence are people who were taking some type of medications or multiple scripts and stopped. Sorry, but some really need it..HOWEVER NOT EVERY FREAKING patient..we know from the research that a lot of these chemicals alter the brain...no thanks Doc..I'll be fine without taking your numbing pills and contributing to Donald Rumfield's companies. |
