Huh? Why do you say that? Qi gong merely acknowledges how your body is really made and utilizes and manipulates the energy that you possess. Most people don't really know what they're capable of. There's really nothing spooky or eerie about it, it's natural. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Qi gong can heal you and others, it can help your mind to transcend over unpleasant circumstances and can make you stronger. Not bad, as far as I can tell.

I agree, she-coward. Qi is part of our WHOLE (partly invisible) nature. It can be a healing energy. Of course, one needs to know what one is doing when one manipulates such energies, and so words of caution are needed. It requires training under supervision.

For example, I have mathematically derived the number of acupoints in the 14 meridians of the human body. I have derived mathematical equations for the qi energy channelled along the 14 meridians. So I understand the nature of qi/prana/odic force and its connections with the acupoints, soon to be part of a book to be published. Again. stop pretending that you know so much that you can warn EVERYONE. It's the height of arrogance.

I have a friend who heals people with qigong. It's quite amazing. I am learning how to do it too. Everyone can do it, if they want to learn.

When he is willing to do this trick under controlled circumstances under the eye of for example his national skeptics society then I might consider it a feat.

Qi Gong is like hypnotism. It only effects you if you belive it. What is really being used is the power of the Anahata.

I won't argue about knocking people out or the power of the Anahata, because all of that may very well be true.

My experience with Qi Gong supports SOME of what you say, though. For example, qi gong can heal, but the person being healed has to be "open" and allow it to happen. If they are, then it DEFINITELY can work. I've never personally seen anyone boil water or cook fish using qi...but I have healed myself and have helped to heal others using Qi Gong, which I believe is just God-given power that we all have whether we know it or not, or learn how to use it or not. It can be used for healing and for destruction. It has a lot to do with intent.

I have seen some amazing things with Qi Gong being used in combination with Iron Palm, and I know of people curing themselves of cancer. Friends of mine.

I just take exception with the blanket statement, "Qi Gong is bad." No it's not. People are bad or good, Qi Gong is an instrument - that's all.

No, it is not. Do you think water can be hypnotised into thinking that it can boil or paper that it can burn? LOL! If you think bragging about being able to knock out an old man helps your argument, it doesn't. It just makes you sound like a bully.
