Thank you. You just proved something I've said all along. The "entity" intentionally used the most vague words possible to give the "believers" more flexibility with interpreting the predictions.

If he meant they would die, he could have said that "mandela/sharon die b4 15 may." If he meant they would step down or be replaced, he could have said "mandela/sharon quit before 15 may." Both of these words are much more specific, and help clarify what might happen. These are also very simple words which are more commonly used than "demise" either of these scenarios, and should have been well within the entity's supposedly limited vocabulary.

Instead, we get "dimise." A word which can go either way. Will they die? Will they quit? Will they be replaced? Will they be caught in a scandal that ruins their reputations? Will they simply fade into obscurity and stop making any news whatsoever? Who cares! "Demise" covers all possible bases!

I guess we're supposed to ignore the fact that even the believers saw "death" as the common interpretation of what the OP meant by "dimise." Up until now, that is.

...and maybe on the handler's behavior as well.

- the entity perceives our timeline as nonlinear, for this is how his own universe works. the entity can therefore see few events before AND after the moment both timelines merged.
- the entity (or more precisely the elders) decide to contact the residents of this particular timeline to warn them, or help them make things going better.. - but to calculate the proper timeline was not that easy.
- so they made contact to multiple timelines/universes telling them the story and emphasizing the fact, that the race they talk to may not be the one they are searching for.

- the OP was one of the guys who had acces to the records. he get them 2006 for the first time, so he had no contact with the entity himself. (as far i understood >.<)

- some of the "predictions" came true, some not and some not - but people reinterpret them to came true.
