Re: Amazing Tsunami footage!
I wasn't sure if I should post this one or not. But, I'll post it with a warning...

Warning: very graphic image!

Do not view this if you get easily disturbed by images of dead bodies! (can I be any more blunt?)

This image opened my eyes to a taste of the devastation that occurred that day, in terms of lives lost. I didn't remotely grasp the impact of this event until I saw this.

Reading the news about the numbers of lives lost as being in the hundreds of thousands just didn't impact me in the way this image did. This visual image brought it home for me in a very personal way. It is very disturbing.

Again, if you're disturbed by images of human devastation, do yourself a favor and don't click on this link. Just keep going to the next thread. This is one of the worst images I've seen. Then again, maybe that's just me. I found this image utterly shocking.

Your browser will probably resize it to fit the screen. If you click on the image, it should show you the full resolution. Don't do that unless you know you can stomach it:

Re: Amazing Tsunami footage!
The stupid part of it is that it could have been prevented.

No not the Tsunami, but the death toll.

the Pacific ocean is already monitored and places like Japan already have drills and warnings and we have known for decades that tsunamis take place in ALL oceans and we have the ability and the technology already in place to warn millions of people.

But like any other disaster we humans tend to wait until the disaster strikes before we actually act upon what we know and do something to save lives.

Like the Titanic and the new laws and regulations AFTER she sank that provides life boats for all on board.

We wait until an unnecessary disaster of huge proportions before we actually do the right thing(s) to save lives.

Bitch, the Great Rescue Swimmer in the Sky sacrificed his life so that you and others may live.

You praise His glory biatch.

You need to start swimming against the spiritual tide instead of with it, then maybe you have some faith.
