I didnīt know you were not suppose to turn the f..king thing off. Is that why i have so much trouble with the f..king think. |

Nice setup. Iīm using my Athlon 64 FX55 in native 64bit with Gentoo Linux and this thing flies. No wonder itīs rated as the fastest x86 processor out now. If you have the $1000 or so to throw down on a processor alone, I really recommend it. I wonīt need to upgrade this system for quite a while. |

johnisevil (OP) 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I donīt think anyone will need dual core for quite a while unless itīs for bragging rights, alot of audio/video encoding or 3D rendering. For what I use my computer for, the Athlon 64 FX55 is a bit much but as a programmer, I do a lot of compiling and running programs with debugging on which can be quite CPU intensive so at least it gives me some space to work with. Itīs nice being able to run a program in debugging mode and not have music or video lagging like when I used my Athlon XP 2500 as my main workstation machine. |
