They stand a chance when no sunlight falls on the moon but the power levels would be massive to be brighter than the sunlight reflecting off of it.

I call bullshit on that. Any Earth-based laser is going to suffer so much diffusion leaving the atmosphere the beam will be too wide to useful. Also, the power requirements would be enormous.

I don't think any beer company is quite ready to construct and launch an orbital laser ad platform just yet.
