AC 4:45, I know anxiety is high in society right now for many reasons...but I am speaking of a personal anxiety that has swept through me as of late that is indescribable. I am an empath, and sometimes it is hard to distinguish between my own emotions and the emotions of others.
Although, my life has been a very burdened one, I have usually been under control with my anxiety...but I am becoming more edgy, less comfortable in my own surroundings, and I am self-mutilating...constantly biting my nails. I guess it is time to go see a doc, huh...

Yep, badger...good advice...I am trying.
I am feeling...I think they call it "obsessive-compulsive", and I really have never had a real problem with that.
Anyway, I will have to get some help, I guess. I just hate doctors...I hate being dependant...hoping I could work it out myself...but I do feel something terrible is about to happen... I cannot explain it...like I want to stop it, but I just can´t. I guess I just need to surrender to being out of control.

Self-Mutilation, it really is time to seek professional help. A psychologist will be a good person to talk to, an ordinary doctor should suggest that if they were worth their fees. I´m not being funny, but this place really wont help you terribly much. There are human beings behind the words here, I know. But that is no substitute for real contact with flesh and blood human-beings.

NEVER trust a doctor, get 3 opinions at least.

Maybe its time to protect your surroundings from `strange` energies. Every state we´re in is a choice, once one recognises in what state he his he can then choose no to be there.

OP-- I had very bad anxiety in my early 20´s---took the little pink pills like candy. then I met a guy who knew about about hypnotism and understood the inner working of the mind. took all of 3 weeks to cure me of something I had suffered from for years. try it...and it sounds srange, but try ceder tea. find a ceder tree, rip off a branch and boil it. It works.
