Finite realities tend to be unstable and will eventually unravel themselves. Can't change the past.

Once an event has occured you can't change it. Any perceived changes you make have aleady happened and you are only now becoming aware of it. Think of it more as if your record of an event is full of holes and you are filling in the blanks.

Sometimes one has to explore other possibilities in order to understand the one and original reality but don't confuse these worlds of your minds creation as a real ones but a consideration of what could have been. And with these realizations you have "changed" your perception of the real world and with this attunement you have increased your wills manifestion capability to enact actual predestined change.

There is only one reality and it is infinite(goes on forever)... as is the universe where all possibilities exist.
