Healing the injured....how does one help another to heal?
I believe in the body's natural ablility to heal...I want to know how it can be helped. I've read a variety of articles, from glyconutrients to laying of the hands. Anyone here know of anything--first hand knowledge?

Re: Healing the injured....how does one help another to heal?
It's perplexing that the product "Airborne" was recently reported to be useless in combating a cold. BUT, everyone that I know who uses it say it really works. I've had my own good fortune in getting rid of a cold quickly by taking Airborne. That seems to prove that mind over matter really works, as do placebos when people think they are taking the REAL thing and get well.

I think healing is ALL self-healing, and depends in large on your faith and belief in the methods used to treat disease. After all, it's a dis-ease. Stress causes many dis-eases, and that's fairly well documented. So getting rid of the stress may be the first step in healing. Guilt also works its magic, as does bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, and low self-esteem, etc.

I read the book "Who's The Matter With Me" by Alice Steadman several years ago which deals with specific health issue as related to who is bugging you more or less. A pain in the side may be your Mother-in-Law, for instance. LOL

Re: Healing the injured....how does one help another to heal?
what I have found through my expereince that the mind needs the healing first. Something in the mind is opening up the body to accept things it ususally throws out naturally.

Cancer people carry resentment ... ask anyone and they may share a resentment they can do nothing about so they "eat away inside"

So I work on the mind while treating the body to find the glitch in the perfection of the body made by Creator.

There are many paths to healing and each person will define their path. All healing is self healing and we ask others to come in just to re-mind us of our perfection.

Thanks for your posts.
As far as Airborne goes, I think the trouble they got into had to do with legal-ease...Airborne does work IMO, and I don't believe it to be the placebo effect. When talking of a product, one can't say it "cures". That kind of talk will open up a lawsuit on anyone.

Also, my thread has to do with injury, not illness. I absolutely agree with you on emotions and their role in creating a disease state within the body.

I've looked into the healing of music--I believe that is something that hasn't been fully revealed.

... for sure and for sure... and simply put if ya are not at ease with yourself then you are in a state known as 'dis-ease'.

And too, not only music, but light and colours, water, plants, cuddly pets... and/or anything that soothes.

And three, lol, as far as the hands on 'thang'... well, you can show yourself how well it works. The next time ya get a bruise of any kind, just begin massaging it and the area around the bruise... and then just watch what happens to the bruise.

Whoa....Didn't catch the injury part! LOL We had an old guy (86 years old Naturepath) that used sound waves from a vibrator-type instrument on sore backs, injured joints and muscles etc. He also gave wonderful hour-long healing massages. All the while he worked on us he prayed out loud and also told cute jokes intermittently...he was SO cool. His charm and faith helped immensely. In other words, HIS faith and JOY caused great faith in his patients. I really miss that guy. He died at the age of 94.

Thanks GB. Well I'm in the south, and there aren't a lot of open-minded people around.
I can't help but think that God will lead the right individuals to me at the right time... :)

It's been my experience that you attract what you send out. I live in the south and I see lots of open minded people.

Healing hands work but it takes time to develop.

Well, I don't think I'd be on this sight if I weren't open-minded.....
I think from what I've seen as far as people go, they, in general, aren't quite that knowledgable about their own bodies...I think it may be just where I live--very closed minded here. Very few alternative therapies offered, if any...

But I touch just give it a try. And I discovered it really works! Took me some time to really believe it. Cause I knew you could heal with energie, but didn't knew everybody could learn it. I really glad I did learn it.

Good that you learned, but anyone who charges to teach healing is coming from the wrong place. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

The ability to heal is a natural outpouring from spirit that anyone with strong desire can connect to.

Methods are made up by man. The infinite requires no methods, only the sincere desire to connect to it's intention.

Hi nahoj I hope you don't mind me asking but is it possible you can do distant healing? A friend and colleague of mine recently lost her husband and is in a lot of pain. She's a lovely lady and I just wish it didn't hurt so much, can this be done?

many thanks xxx
