Re: Healing the injured....how does one help another to heal?
I believe in the body's natural ablility to heal...I want to know how it can be helped. I've read a variety of articles, from glyconutrients to laying of the hands. Anyone here know of anything--first hand knowledge?

Depends on the root causes of the core issues. If the person is fragmented one of the first essentials is to get the fragments back. A person that does not have all their soul fragments cannot heal completely.

What type of injury are we talking about? If the injury was due to an accident then it is very likely that there is soul loss as well.

I have been doing Reiki for 20 years ... it works.

I have also found the intent to heal holds power as well.

Re: Healing the injured....how does one help another to heal?
My son, 7 years old, suffered from a brain injury due to analphylatic shock (sp?) Doctors never confirmed this, they thought he had a heart attack--pre-existing heart condition- but they out ruled that. I knew from the beginning it was food related....anyway, he actually died and they brought him back. It'll be a year next month. I have just gotten to where I can actually talk about it...still very difficult--fighting the tears now....anyway....
Facial expressions and emotion in his eyes let me know that he is still there. Doctors don't know the extent of recovery because everyone is different and there are no classic cases....

It has been really difficult to deal with because before, he was soooo active and vibrant, and very intelligent. (extremely talkative) and now, I can only just imagine the hell he must be going thru just being encased in his body....traditional therapies really suck.

Re: Healing the injured....how does one help another to heal?
WE hear so much about healing, yet I think few ever get past their preconceived notions of the process. Healing is often very dependent on not only the Healer and the individual that is ill, but on many of the environmental issues that surround that individual, issues that can be both physical and spiritual.

In our modern society WE to often do not want to tie our illnesses to our social constructs and even less do we want to tie them to our spiritual ones. Most Good healers understand their capacity and limits and realise healing and/or treating of an individual is not always going to effect a 'cure', nor is it always in the best interest of the individual involved that they be 'cured'. This being said it does not mean that the individual should not be treated, it just means there may be limits to the desired effect.

Often the best healers are the ones who have the ability to see who they can help, and who they can not, and then act in accordance with this knowledge.

Re: Healing the injured....how does one help another to heal?
It's so funny....I've been acquainted with this website for at least a year....a few months before my son had his "accident". I don't reallly know how I found it, but I am glad I did.

I've always been one to focus on health and nutrition. I can be excessively optimistic, and I have always believed in prevention of illness than the allopathic route. I had begun classes in a natural health college, of course my colleagues thought me to be insane....(I'm a teacher.) But I had to unenroll because of what happened to my son--

All that being said---I don't know how to fix this....and ultimately, I know that it is not my job to do......my son has my optimism and determination....so, I guess I just really want to know how his healing can be facilitated...sometimes I just feel soooo helpless. I have patience; I just really hate the unknown, I guess.....

It strange, sometimes the worst things can be healed. in other cases you don't see anything happening. I not know who I can help. So if someone gets on my path who ask for help I always will try my best. If they cross my path it has a meaning. So I have to try. Even if nobody sees any improvement I'm sure teh energy always doing something good. It only can do good.

Aside from the traditional rehab, acupuncture which seemed to help a great bit with comfort and Feldenkris. I stopped Feldenkris but will probably restart it when he gains a little more control over his limbs.

Lotus,
That disturbs me a bit. How can one lose part of their soul if they didn't do anything spiritually to do so???? And if they do lose any of it, can they get it back?

It is difficult when this happens to our children. I think you already know how important it is to make sure that you touch Him a lot, I would also suggest using healing methods that we require tactile methods, finding good 'hand' healers to work with him can be beneficial as well, again I think I am not telling you anything you don't already know.

OP I wish I could give you more, I can not. I will sing a prayer for him this evening, but I think the real work is to be done by those who will come into physical contact with your son.

Op please remember to take care of yourself as well, this is very important. A bit of acupuncture and a good massage by a healer is probably a good idea for you as well. I will remember you in my song tonight.

Once upon a time, healers specialized, much like doctors do today. Most had an understanding of their gifts and used them when the situation warranted, and when they knew they could not help they would refer them to someone who they thought might be better equipped.

Today this is not so much the case, and often there is confusion as to what one should do. WE no longer have the intricately woven tapestry of village peoples who all knew each other and what each had to offer. We are separated and many times not fully trained in what to do and how to do it.

I do agree that often people cross our path and this in it self can be a sign that an interaction is to take place. But sometimes that interaction is not what we believe it is.
I do not tell you this to cause you to have doubt in your work. I just think it is always good to be cautious.

I was taught to shake a persons hand, and/or to touch their right shoulder and I would know if they were someone I could help. This has served me well, of course its no good over the computer(lol)

Hi nahoj I hope you don't mind me asking but is it possible you can do distant healing? A friend and colleague of mine recently lost her husband and is in a lot of pain. She's a lovely lady and I just wish it didn't hurt so much, can this be done?

many thanks xxx

Yes I can can you tell her name (not need last name), then I can try to help.

I do think it sad that we are so out of touch--modern society almost makes it impossible to get back to such a place....(it would be soo cool to be able to sense whether one could help another like that!)

Also, my thread has to do with injury, not illness. I absolutely agree with you on emotions and their role in creating a disease state within the body.

I've looked into the healing of music--I believe that is something that hasn't been fully revealed.

I think all of us can do this, it is important to try and see your own gift clearly first. To oversimplify it just a little, When we see what or where it is (our gift), we can see what or where it isn't. This way we know where to apply it.
