You would think this could not happen here but alas, it is to my dismay. Make your choices now and stick to them. You do not have to broadcast your intent to resist.......if you take that path OR you can take the train........ I would rather die on my feet fighting than wimpering in some train car with shackles around my lags and arms, just before they turn on the gas !

Provisions of this bill are:
The definition of what a terrorist is expanded beyond that already overbroad definition in Patriot Act II.
Anyone U.S. citizen on the street can be grabbed off the street and thrown into a van never to be seen again. (End of freedom from unreasonable search and siezure).
It´s illegal for anyone to tell anyone the location or anything about detainees. Law enforcement no longer has to tell the press whom they have arrested or release their names. (Beginning of secret police).
Sets up a national database for anyone with any connection to any suspected terrorist or suspected terrorist group, and sets up a national DNA database and orders states to collect DNA data for the federal government.
Gives immunity to law enforcement engaging in spying operations against the American people. (End of right to privacy).
Strips any citizen who is designated as a "terrorist" (under the newly broadened definitions) of all their rights. (End of "inalienable rights").
States clearly that any information gathering, regardless of whether or not those activities are illegal, can be considered to be clandestine intelligence activities for a foreign power. This makes news gathering illegal. (End of freedom of the press).
Allows wartime martial law without a declaration of war. (Police state).
Allows searches without search warrants. (End of 4th Amendment).
Allows secret star chamber courts to issue contempt charges against any individual or corporation who refuses to incriminate themselves or others. (End of 5th Amendment).
Makes certain "sunset" of Patriot I act permanent.
Allows the government to search your bank records and medical records. (End of right to privacy).
Allows federal government to take over state grand juries. Also disallows individuals or organizations to even try to quash a Federal subpoena. So now defending yourself will be a terrorist action.
Destroys any remaining whistleblower protection for Federal agents.
Allows corporations to keep secret their activities with toxic biological, chemical or radiological materials.
Allows top Federal officials to keep all their financial dealings secret, and anyone investigating them can be considered a terrorist. (Call this the "Cheney Clause).
Allows big businesses that spy on their customers for Homeland Security to violate their privacy agreements
Allows Homeland Security to secretly take individuals out of foreign countries.
Says you are "Providing Material Support to Terrorism" (and thus you are a terrorist) even if you had no intent to do so.
Any activity that affects interstate or foreign commerce is now considered a "weapon of mass destruction."
Creates lifetime parole (basically, slavery) for a whole host of crimes.
Creates no statute of limitations for anyone that engages in terrorist actions or supports terrorists. (Remember: any crime is now considered terrorism under the first Patriot Act). |

The one I read that gave me the creeps is the part that gives the Fed Gov the power to take over any and all AUTPOSIES.

The Patriot Acts are UNLAWFUL and TREASON against the American People. They were manufactured by a TWICE UNELECTED CRIMINAL for the benefit of his own protection. Therefore, the Patriot Acts, which are not PATRIOTIC, are NULL AND VOID. Civil Disobedience to these UNLAWFUL ACTS should be the RULE in every Community in America.

Ukrainian Parliamentarian Suggests Jailing Freemasons
Ukrainian MP Taras Chornovil has suggested that the country´s parliament, the Supreme Rada, introduce criminal responsibility for Freemasonry, the MigNews web-site reported on Tuesday.
Taras Chornovil is the son of the late nationalist leader Vyacheslav Chornovil, and his appointment as an adviser to presidential candidate Viktor Yanukovich on West-Ukrainian affairs earlier this year provoked much criticism in nationalist circles. He will head Yanukovich´s campaign headquarters in the repeat of the controversial second round of Ukrainian presidential elections.
He has submitted to the Rada a bill entitled "On amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine", according to which, membership of Freemason organizations, or any other organizations that require rituals and oaths of higher priority than the current law, must be punished by a jail sentence of up to three years.
The bill also reads that the members of Masonic organizations who are Ukrainian civil servants, law enforcers or military servicemen must be jailed for three to seven years.
Ukraine´s president, members of parliament, civil servants of ministerial rank, military servicemen and law enforcers of the rank of major-general or higher, if discovered to be members of Freemason organizations, may face up to 10 years in prison.
If the membership in a Masonic organization causes deaths, a threat to Ukraine´s national integrity or its defense potential, members of the organization must be imprisoned for 10 to 15 years, the bill reads.
In February, the leader of Ukraine´s Socialist Party, Aleksander Moroz, said that about 300 of Ukraine´s top officials were members of the St. Stanislaus Order Masonic Lodge. Later, other left-wing parties and also the pro-Western bloc headed by Yulia Tymoshenko also called on the government to ban the St Stanislaus Order in Ukraine.

I agree about the resistance, many people in the US are such weasels or plain stupid or brainwashed, though, it would be hard to get it going because of all the traitors. But, this is happening worldwide, so the currently democratic countries better do the same, NWO is coming their way, too. |

It´s 3003 pages! How can anybody be expected to read this, when they won´t even read a two page article?
Patriot Act I, at 1,000 pages, was bad enough, now comes Patriot Act II to continue the Bush cabal´s move toward an authoritarian police state. In a repeat of the ridiculous situation surrounding the passing of the first act, congressmen were given *one hour* to read its 3003 pages before voting on it. Shamefully, they passed it.
How did Patriot Act I, get passed Oct 23, 2001, less than two months after 9/11. How long did this current legislation take to write? |

It would appear, people are faced with two choices
- 1) accept the abolishment of your civl rights and live out your life the best you can, lying low - not agitating anyone and hoping a corrupt official does not take a fancy to you, your wife, daughter or son because there will be no prosecution of officials for any act-that would weaken their power base if they turned on each other.
-2) be prepared to resist which is a scary prospect in itself.
Ya know, gang members will probably be the most free people. They have an ideology they are dedicated to, they will retaliate against their enemy for that ideology or brotherhood or even retaliate against each other if that brotherhood is betrayed. That is the level of commitment to be effective. Most people, understandably, do not have that.
I forgot, there is a 3) Pray that a supreme being intervenes and stops this and all enslavement in the world. But since millions of people currently in this world are subjected to worse than the US may encounter in the next decade, it is unlikely this will happen.
I foresee only those 3 choices. Passive resistance of protesting is not an option because, quite simply, people will not do it! How many of you have ever gotten out of your comfy chair and went to a rally, a protest march (of any kind), written your federal reps? Have you inconvenienced yourself by avoiding purchasing imports, foregone buying non-necessities, saved your pennies, helped you fellowman, cared about anyone other than yourself or your family? Yes, that is just what I thought. |

A Republican congressman is decrying the intelligence reform bill set to pass Congress today, saying it creates a de facto national ID-card system.
Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, says by establishing standards for state driver´s licenses on a federal level, the government is setting up a national system that´s "not proper in a free society."
The bill, which established a new cabinet-level national intelligence director and expands some law-enforcement powers, passed the House of Representatives last night 336-75 and is scheduled for a Senate vote today.
"This is America, not Soviet Russia," said the libertarian-leaning Paul in a statement. "The federal government should never be allowed to demand papers from American citizens, and it certainly has no constitutional authority to do so."
"A national identification card, in whatever form it may take, will allow the federal government to inappropriately monitor the movements and transactions of every American," Paul continued. "History shows that governments inevitably use such power in harmful ways. The 9-11 commission, whose recommendations underlie this bill, has called for internal screening points where identification will be demanded. Domestic travel restrictions are the hallmark of authoritarian states, not free nations. It is just a matter of time until those who refuse to carry the new licenses will be denied the ability to drive or board an airplane."
Though the bill doesn´t call for a standardized national card, Paul says by telling states what must be included on driver´s licenses, the federal government is overstepping its bounds.
"Nationalizing standards for drivers licenses and birth certificates, and linking them together via a national database, creates a national ID system pure and simple," he said. "This legislation imposes federal standards in a federal bill, and it creates a federalized ID regardless of whether the ID itself is still stamped with the name of your state."
Paul likens an internal checkpoint plan to a "Soviet-style internal passport system."
Said Paul: "Subjecting every citizen to surveillance and screening points actually will make us less safe, not in the least because it will divert resources away from tracking and apprehending terrorists and deploy them against innocent Americans!"
Some House Republicans tried but failed to include in the bill a provision barring states from issuing driver´s licenses to illegal aliens. Other Republicans see the bill as another layer of useless bureaucracy.
"I believe creating a national intelligence director is a huge mistake," Rep. Ray LaHood, R-Ill, told the Associated Press. "It´s another bureaucracy, it´s another layer of government. It would not have prevented 9-11 and it will not prevent another 9-11." |
