Don McLean did a song in his early career, I think,
that used to make be cry...The words were something
like "...I could dive for pearls...but I NEVER will."
(Do you know the title...would love to hear it again.)

He'd list all the cool things he could see other people
doing, but because of his situation (which he doesn't
reveal) he mulls over the fact he won't have the chance
to do those things.



I guess it hit me hard because I was going through a
divorce--I had real fears that my "life was over." But
things ended up turning around and I did things I didn't
even know were possible.

McLean has always been a favorite. Thanks River!
