Re: SPACE-BASED LASER BEING USED TO DELIBERATELY CUT MASSIVE ANTARCTIC ICE
Concider this...

1) The angle was so perfect, the laser had to be 'orbital and stationary' right above and over the ice to cut 'xyz' (the right hand rule). So when did satellites navigate down under the pole?

2) This was so accurate, it reminds you of the 'crop circles', sounds very robotic to me, like those robots that welds car bodies, or some dude at NASA with a joy-stick.

3) If this is, so good a weapon, why didn't they use it to take out that spy satellite which I believe was hoax, a distraction.

4) That spy satellite is still up there with a chimp inside.

5) This weapon could be used to target oil refineries next and start bush fires, burn cities and twin-tower shit.

Look at this picture from the movie Core, strange thoughts!

that's a 60 foot tall, straight edge, with a corner that just broke off at a 90 degree angle???

I find it very hard to believe that this could happen naturally since I have never seen a square iceberg photo before...

(suspicious in the same way that the twin towers came down so evenly)

Re: SPACE-BASED LASER BEING USED TO DELIBERATELY CUT MASSIVE ANTARCTIC ICE
In 1969, sailors aboard the USS Calcaterra witnessed a USO that displayed remarkable properties in the frozen waters of Antarctica. They reported a huge, submarine-shaped object burst from beneath the thick ice and rocket into the sky. Revered Russian researcher, Vladimir Ajaja, told of an incident that happened near Leningrad in the winter of 1976. A USO crashed down through the ice, manoeuvred underwater before breaking back through. Carl Feindt reported that USOs appear to melt the ice they break through, leaving a clean hole, rather than smashing their way, sending chunks flying in all directions.

UFO FILES:
Deep Sea USO's
The History Channel, Sunday, 16th July, 2006

Page 1:

After a break of several months, The History Channel’s excellent series, UFO Files, returned to the airwaves with a show about Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs). This is an aspect of the UFO phenomenon that is rarely reported, yet is more common than one may realise. Only recently, an object was spotted entering the ocean off the South African coast, reinforcing the views of many that UFOs are at home flying either in the sky or under the sea.

As the Earth is 75% covered with water, it makes sense that unexplained objects are seen either on or beneath the sea and this programme explores the possibilities not only of alien activity under the surf, but also of what submersibles we may be able to create that might match the characteristics of the reported sightings. The Santa Catalina Channel separates mainland California from the island of Catalina. This stretch of water is as deep as Mount Everest is high and objects have been seen both entering the water and emerging.

Preston Dennett is a California UFO researcher who has written several books on the subject (one of which, Extraterrestrial Visitations, will be reviewed in a future issue of UFOData Magazine). He explained that in 1992, hundreds of unexplained objects were sighted near the Santa Monica Mountains. Many of these objects were seen, not descending from the sky, but rising up, as though emerging from the water nearby.

Over two hundred craft were seen emerging silently from the ocean on June 14th, 1992. They hovered for several seconds before shooting off into the sky. Witnesses filed reports with the police as far away as Malibu. The programme then played.

The Earth spirits are doing it because our time is up and they have decided that we are to be swept away to make way for a new age where humans will not be the dominant species. Humans do not have the technology to do this, only the Earth spirits can do it and they will continue to do it until it is over for us. You mention crop circles. Who do you think makes them? The spirits, that's who. You will all know soon enough what there intentions are. Our time is nearly up and so it is time to say goodbye to Hollywood et al because our twilight is almost upon us. All ages eventually come to an end. You will know it is soon when the signs appear in the sky that will leave no-one in anymore doubt. The wealthy, powerful and comfortable will attempt to hide and escape the conflagration but they will suffer the worst fate of all, too horrible to even mention in a public forum. At least the lowly, like yourselves, will have some hope of redemption.

maybe it's a small effort to combat global warming. Adding fresh water to slow or even stop the gulf stream for a short period. The cooling effect it would have makes this sort of thing self correcting and would add back new ice at the poles.

PARIS: A powerful volcano erupted under the icesheet of Antarctica around 2,000 years ago and it might still be active today, a finding which raises questions about ice loss from the white continent.

The explosive event – rated "severe" to "cataclysmic" on an international scale of volcanic force – punched a massive breach in the icesheet and spat out a plume some 12 kilometres into the sky, said British scientists behind the find.

Occasional volcanism

Most of Antarctica is seismically stable. But its western part lies on a rift in Earth's crust that gives rise to occasional volcanism and geothermal heat, occurring on the Antarctic coastal margins

Wow, I want a power source that can generate enough to fuel a high-powered continuous laser beam for long enough to make 45-mile-long cuts!

For a fuckwit that claims to be in the Navy, I would think that you already knew military planes could do this. Oh wait, maybe it's the air force that has this capability, we use people like you to keep ship decks nice and shiny. Keep scrubbing biatch
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 392450

No. Military planes can't do this.

You're probably thinking about the ABL or Airborne laser Program, which has a converted Boeing 747 freighter with a chemical laser to blast a potential ICBM while still in boost phase. Here is some real info on this:

[link to www.boeing.com]

Have you ever though how much energy it would take to do this ice shelf stuff? It's not hard to figure out, if you've taken a couple of post-high school math courses.

If you assume the "cut" is a line 45 miles long by 50 feet deep by one inch wide, and if you assume that the temperature of the ice is only one degree below freezing, then you will have to raise about a million cubic feet of ice one degree. Since a pound of ice weighs 67 lb, you must melt 66,300,000 pounds of ice (and do it quickly before it freezes again).

Since it takes 1 BTU to raise one pound of water (or ice) one degree, you will need to generate 66.3 million BTUs over a fairly short (say one minute) period of time. I'm using a minute to do the whole deed since the ice sheet would quickly freeze again once the heat source was removed.

So if you had a device which would provide that heat (and let's assume that there's no energy loss during transmission which, of course, there would be) you would need a device which would produce 1.1 million BTUs of heat energy per second, which is about a much as five Palo Verde powerplants here in Arizona (the world's largest nuclear power plant) can produce.

Now think about how big the whizz-bang up in space (which we've never even seen) would have to be to produce that much energy.

Think about what the energy losses would be in the transmission of that energy, especially as it travels through the atmosphere.

And think about why no astronomer in the southern hemisphere reported a huge minute long blaze of light while the "cut" was made.

It simply doesn't add up.

No need for any laser. Just put an open wire on ice and heat it up by running current through it.

So we now have an open wire 45 miles long using resistance heating to melt sixty feet of ice.

Tell me, as the wire sinks down into the ice shelf, what's going to keep the water above it from freezing back into ice again?

And where are the huge generators at each end of the wire that are generating those megawatts of electricity?

Re: SPACE-BASED LASER BEING USED TO DELIBERATELY CUT MASSIVE ANTARCTIC ICE
Someone really needs to get pissed off at this then!

VIDEO SHOWS PERFECT 45 MILE LONG STRAIGHT-LINE CUTS AND PERFECT RIGHT ANGLE CUTS

Someone is mis-using extremely powerful, SPACE-BASED military weapons to intentionally alter the amount of ice melting into the oceans.

Video proves a laser or highly focused microwave weapon is being used; the cuts in the massive ice shelf are PERFECTLY straight. The right angle cuts are PERFECT right angle cuts. These cuts, some 45 miles long, do not and CANNOT happen naturally.

If this continues, the massive amounts of fresh water ice being deliberately cut - which later later melt into the sea - will cause a "critical desalination" of ocean waters, leading to a massive shift in the gulf stream and sudden, dramatic change in planetary weather similar to what was seen in the movie "The Day After Tomorrow."

"Global Warming" is actually being caused through mis-use of government weapons - not by normal human activity. Government is intentionally doing this and they are putting all of us at grave risk.

Nah, I'm a mechanical engineer. I don't doubt we have the ability to make a laser that can cut ice, but the problem with making cuts 45 miles long is power. What can generate continuous power for that long at that intensity?

Space based MASER.

This was a microwave cutting device in action. The microwave cuts far far faster than the LASER systems, and has the added bonus of being almost invisible to the naked eye.

The only trace seen is if it excites atoms in the air at high altitude, and then you may see a greeny / blue 'path'.

Interesting, and a successful testing I would say.

 Quoting: The Guy

You have to think outside and ahead of the box, so to speak. The technology presented to us, the general public, and to some extent, the general military and government, are long obsolete. Let's look at the invisibility cloaks now being used by military. That technology has been in the works for decades, and most likely been operational for quite a few years. We only get told about new stuff like that when it's already old. Take the Stealth bomber for example. It was built and flying 20 years or longer before it was ever shown to the public.

So it's not unthinkable that there are extremely powerful power sources available to the military, what with the massive leaps the nano-tech sector has made over the last decade. I've no doubt that there are nano-batteries or something like that that could easily run a powerful laser from space.

Invisibility cloaks are real now, "SMART" clothing is available, robotics has taken giant steps forwards, literally, with things like the Big Dog robot. And that's just public knowledge stuff.
