If it's anything less than a crippling strike it'll be 100% ineffective.
This needs to bring down systems, and bring civilization on the fucking brink.
Take a page from the Argentineans. And we know they don't take shit from nobody.
But I suspect the truckers won't have the backbone to pull this one off. "I don't know which was scarier...the speech...or the Congress cheering it. He evoked Lincoln. Whenever a President is going to get us into serious trouble...they always use Lincoln."

The strike is just for one day. The writer's strike was for half a year. It must not be serious for the truckers. Quoting: mrsnacks 403002
Are you fucking stupid? What does the "writer's strike" have to do with your life specifically? Can you not eat for two weeks.
It's not just food, it's everything. |

Yes, but his point is that the writers nerves are tougher than the truckers.
We will know April 2nd (well really night time on the 1st) when everyone carries on business as usual.
If the truckers were real, they would barricade borders & ports keeping out illegals & communist (chinese) goods.
But the wont. "I don't know which was scarier...the speech...or the Congress cheering it. He evoked Lincoln. Whenever a President is going to get us into serious trouble...they always use Lincoln."

I know for a fact that 3 days turns Miami into something out of MadMax.
I bet they won't block I75 & I95. That's all it would take. "I don't know which was scarier...the speech...or the Congress cheering it. He evoked Lincoln. Whenever a President is going to get us into serious trouble...they always use Lincoln."

Fact is that if fuel stay where they are all these smartmouthed folks will be shut down too.Reality is im an owner-operator who is shutting down for however long it takes.Even the company drivers should do it for the simple fact that milk is now 5 bucs a gallon, gas 3.50 a gallon.bread 2.50 a loaf.Your money is shrinking smaller and smaller. Our country is headed for disaster
if the oil man dont get out of the whitehouse soon enough.

But in the end - it will hurt no one but the little guys. (that's the rest of us)
Really, what do you hope to accomplish??
Do you really think you will force big oil to reduce your diesel prices?
Won't happen.
At best, you will just get yet another government handout to help pay your fuel costs.
Just what this country needs - more handouts. |

1. No food/drinks on the store shelves.
2. No gasoline to fill the gasoline stations' tanks.
3. Gov't will step in and demand they come back to work, or they will bring in Mexican truckers.
Oh wait, they already paved the way to allow foreigners to drive in our Country.
Good luck guys. I'm filling up my gas tank on Monday, just in case....
You have my support. |

Lol, I hear ya, BMT! THAT would be a challenge. The last time, a few months ago, the DC cops were prepared ahead of time; wouldn't let trucks get on the beltway or whatever it is, unless they were coming in to deliver freight.
You DO know government and big corps sometimes are in bed with each other, right? |

you are ignorant. It takes one full truckload of milk every 30minutes 24/7 just to keep the schools in NYC supplied with milk. The country will be crippled if shut down for one day. Look up the truck strike in Italy in 2005. Diesel is cheaper to refine than gas yet it is higher with no reasoning and honest hard working business owners have had enough. |
