Speaking as a Scot who has lived here in Scotland all her days and is a paid up member of the White Cockade Society, you've missed the point.....
It's not 'right down to the English', it's JUST the English. Can't abide them.
And as far as Scottish men liking American women goes - sure, why not. My (Scottish) husband has a 'thing' about Southern accents. Goes nuts for 'Grace under fire' *rolls eyes*.
C`mon Mary,,, it`s not just the English we despise. I hate the Paki`s just as much, well almost as much.
