Do Scottish Men Like American Women?

Ahem. I am an American woman (and not entirely proud of it) and I have a boyfriend overseas in Scotland. It has been said that to date I am the only american he actually has any fondness towards, alhough he is moving here next year. Also, he spoils the shit out of me and I mean spoiiils. It might just be his personality, but that boy spends more money on me then I've ever spent in my lifetime. I think that Scottish men like hot american women just to fuck, but if by chance they find one who isn't the typical ignorant, aggravating, self centered american there's a possibility for love(: and that's exactly what's happened. I love my Scottish man more than anything in the world and I'm proud to say he's snagged himself a damn good American woman(;

That's because it's mostly true. Minus the obese and non feminine part, eating disorders help out the first part. American women are actually self-centered, ignorant, high maintenance, insolent, conniving, slutty, disrespectful, power hungry, money driven bitches.
I'm qualified to come to this conclusion based off of living in the US my entire life and being surrounded by American women. And from all over the country too. Sure there are a few here and there that aren't like that- I know I'm not, and neither are the majority of my friends (but that's not a large number) but in general, yes this is absolutely true for american women.
I'm just glad I have a scottish man that I can cuddle up to and who thinks like I do and who loves me everything I am, and everything I'm not(:

I am an american woman - I don't have anything against american men per say - contrary to what hollywood movies show, americans are not all idiots, there are many nice, intelligent and good looking american men.

However there are a few things left to be desired in the american dating scene. First, although there are all types of people, american men definitely seem to have a thing for asian women and blonde women. I'm not saying this is bad per say, but when most of the men I know are looking for a silky black hair, there is really not much out there left for me as a short curly and curvy brunette. I don't really think I fit into the american idea of local or exotic beauty. Coincidentally, most of the men that hit on me are european, latin american or middle eastern, or indian anyways. There is definitely a feminine beauty type that men go for here, and unfortunately for me, I am just not it. The idea is starting to grow on me that I might have a better success rate with a foreigner.

The other thing I sort of dislike about american men, (and americans in general) is that they really are always on schedule to do something, be somewhere, or stress out about something they have or haven't achieved. My scottish friends are a lot more laid back and they seem to take life as it comes. In addition to this, when we go out it's more for the fun of it - unfortunately there are a lot of american bars where it's really frattish and all about getting hammered and laid (I try to avoid these bars as much as possible, but they are definitely all over the place).

In any case if a beautiful smart man came to sweep me off my feet I doubt I would refuse, whether american or scottish. In my case I really doubt he'll be american.

Scottish men are no different then any other countrys, ladies wake up and smell the coffee.

I'm from Scotland and the blonde hair / blue eye girl look is popular here too, although not exceptionally so.

Asians though but I think that is cultural though mainly because we don't really see many Asian people in day to day life.

The main features guys seem to like here is: Slim, cute face and able to hold a intelligent conversation.

Another cultural difference is it's fairly common for a guy to be dating a girl younger than them but it's really bizarre to see a woman dating a guy younger than her and people (Especially other women) will assume they have psychological issues/call them a cradle snatcher.

Everyone likes a beautiful woman anywhere but standards of beauty vary a little bit from place to place and there are certain physical traits that are more appealing to people in some countries than others.

It's not too common to see older women with younger men here either but I suppose it happens. I for one have nothing against it, probably because I'm a woman. In any case people do what they want with their lives.

I don't have any high expectations from the scottish, and I'm not basing some fettish on repeated views of braveheart. I just have a liking for them because, at least in my experience, I've met interesting, lively and refreshing scottish men. Maybe I'm just lucky. They have their downside I'm sure, but since I don't actually live in Scotland, I don't notice these flaws as much. I'm sure if I were confronted with them on a day to day basis I would. Everything is rosier from afar.

We even gave FREEDOM to southern America by one Scotsman who founded the Chilean Navy, read about it! then again, you probably aren't even educated enough to even do so!

There are a hell of a lot better people in Scotland and it's not his fault he was like that, he was bipolar. People who suffer from depression get like this. You'll find that anywhere in this world.

Scotland and America have a relationship, I know that certain Scots here hate Americans, but that's because of the Internet and all the stupid stereotypes put upon our country and certain other small things. But it's never fair to tar an entire nation with the one brush.

I hate certain folk, small minded folk, uneducated folk. I will however say I do love the American people, and will never let those I hate cloud my judgment. If you ask me, I'd easily marry an American lassie hands down.

I've seen rubbish being slated about American woman being self centred and all sorts and how they laugh at our country, what a load of rubbish. I've came across countless Americans who are fascinated by Scotland and adore the country, from it's land to it's people. So if anyone reads this, don't take the words from certain folk I've read from. Yes you get certain ignorant folk, doesn't mean they're all like that.

To me the American accent is adorable, I am not gay and even love the American guys accents, I think the American lassies accents are just adorable and perhaps because so different from myself, from what I hear day to day. I have a strong Glaswegian East end twang, so I'm used to hearing that day in day out.

The cold hard truth is, your entire countries scenery is absolutely nothing to the likes of Loch Ness, it's just that certain American folk like you find it hard to look at places like Loch Ness because you realise your country isn't even half as beautiful as Scotland.
