Since you're quoting from Wikipedia, don't forget to add this:
Several states and territories are officially or de facto bi- or trilingual:
Hawaii (English and Hawaiian) (1978)
Louisiana (English and French legally recognized, although there is no official language)
New Mexico (English and Spanish de facto)
Maine (English and French de facto)
American Samoa (Samoan and English)
Guam (Chamorro and English)
Northern Mariana Islands (English, Chamorro, and Carolinian)
Puerto Rico (Spanish and English)
AGAIN, I'll state the the USA does NOT have an official language as you stated. As you can see, some are bi and tri.

I suppose that quoting from wikipedia is wrong too?
Ok, so your point is what? That I'm wrong? I'll grant you this for now. Because it will soon change.
we don't live in the Estados Unidos. Our Constitution and Declaration of independence were written in English. Our colonies were British...etc
So again I ask, what do you propose? That we all start speaking that TWISTED and dumbed down version of Spanish Mexicans use? Or perhaps Chicano suits you better?
i live next door to a shit load of mexicans and they just surrounded him and told him to get of his riding lawnmower because man is not supposed to work today, what the hell is that.
to placate the million hispanic drug ridden pedophillic hispanics so they don't put more crap on vegetables instead of uisng the bathroom.
Referred to as the "stop the teeny tiny little brown people from having a spazz attack" theory.

80% of Coloradoans said NO to Cesar Chavez Day.
FBI files, made public through the Freedom of Information Act, of Chávez and his organization based on allegations in 1965 that he and others within the organization had communist affiliations.

Re: Why is AMERICA Celebrating a FUCKING MEXICAN Holiday Today
I lived in Los Angeles when Chavez was doing his thing. I also got called a communist and was persecuted by the FBI's COINTELPRO bullshit which eventually ended up with the FBI apologizing to me (worthless except they admitted their guilt in making up lies about people, murdering innocent people, violating the Constitution and people's civil rights, etc.) Chavez being called a communist is laughable, he was very decent human being and cared deeply about human rights.
I had and still have great respect for Cesar Chavez. He fought against exploitation and oppression with tireless effort and dignity. He was truly a great American and definitely deserves to have a holiday dedicated to him.
The saddest part of his legacy is that today much of what he achieved has been reversed by the republican party. The illegal immigrant issue is huge again and workers are exploited and abused more than they were when Chavez became a crusader for worker's rights. Wages have dropped more than ever in America's history under Bush and workplace conditions have deteriorated as more laws are reversed, more regulatory agencies are disbanded and more industrial sites are deregulated.
Chavez was against globalism and tried to get people to see the dangers of moving production out of America to poor countries.
This thread only serves one purpose, it makes the unbelievable stupidity of racism glaringly obvious.
Chavez fought stupidity too...
