I am sorry you think this is bravado.
It it Deadly Serious.
There are plenty of bad-actors out there to defend against.
There will be plenty of refugees, families, children and other lost souls who we are putting clothing, bedding, and other stuff aside for. God has Given us Witness that HE will Guide some to our door.
This is not of our doing.
What you are seeing is the intended collapse of America and its interconnectivity with the ultimate takedown of world population.
What you also have no witness of, is that Christ Jesus IS Embarked already back to this world. satan has only a very short time, which he will use to attempt the destruction of all flesh. All flesh; including his minion, his little helpers who've engineered the monetary crisis, food crisis, bio-terror crisis and all the war and terrorization of the entire citizenry of this planet under guise of "civilization".
The Preamble to the US Constitution recognizes that God has endowed US with inalienable rights. Had we not been actively betrayed and sold-out on every level by the satanic minion, the nation would still be solvent and incorruptible. Yet, America is the babylon of Revelation 18 and will be gone in one hour. Very soon by my heart.
If you have a Relationship With The Father, you have no fear. Christ Jesus has Delivered us from all evil and we who are IN-HIM, together have been and are Preserved & PassedOver.
Yet, God still has put it upon my heart for my family to be armed and HE Has Made The Way in all we have done for almost 20yrs. A day is like 1000yrs to The Lord. We are only 1/2 hour from the time of my warning.
TPTB will foment and provoke chaos and civil war in the aftermath of what they have concocted. satan also has his plans, and he is not called the deceiver for nothing. God is firmly in control and HIS timetable is unfolding.
HIS Will IS Perfect! There is no praying (preying) for mitigation of HIS Will. Yet, until you have died to this world, IE: given your life Unto HIM, you will know fear beyond your wildest dreams. In one hour's time, it will all unfold. Sometime soon.
Procrastination and disbelief are your enemies.
You need to take action.
From March 2004 until Nov 2005, I wrote over 5000 witnesses and replies on the subject of giving your life to God. Since then, not as often.
Everything in life, everyday; is about Trusting God.
When Christ Jesus IS Returned, all who do not oppose HIM will have 1000yrs to come into Accord With The Father.
There has never been a greater time to live!

The more rural you are the more likely you will survive, simple logic shows that if you need to drive a few miles for milk you will have enough in the fridge between trips, that is you will have some stock up your sleeve as a normal part of life, same goes for fuel, food, even a pick and shovel!
With over 300 million Americans how many do you think will have food for just two weeks? Those of you who have done nothing should think about your Aunt Nellie out in the country and start visiting, if it takes more than a tank of gas to get there you had better keep some on hand! |

It would behest all who read these posts to consider well the source and think things through for yourself.
Those who are promoting some kind "survivalist homestead"
plan perhaps are well intentioned but deluded.
Armchair survivalist have the luxury of plotting their little house on the prarie fantasies from the comfort zone afforded them by the last century of American hegemony, interestingly and ironically the evil incarnate many of those same malcontents seem to decry.
Barring the largese afforded them through their families benefiting from the American legacy, they would be just other faceless third-worlders stuggling to gain food for the day and health maintenance to exceed an average lifespan of forty.
Look hard at what you're wishing for. How much of the idea of hoarding away grub and gold and guns is the very reason causing the calamities you are expecting?
I got mine, screw you.
There is so much bravado here with talk of guns and defending home and hearth and actually welcoming that horror that it bears no semblance to that hard reality, rather more the moronic pandering of the powerless playing at reality like a script from a movie or action sequence from a video game.
Have you ever been to war? Do you have any idea what that means?
Those looking forward to turning back the clock a century I highly doubt have any idea what the implications are. The average Amercan college student now enjoys a life only dreamed of by kings or heads of state a scant century and a half ago.
Think these things through well friends!
The price of a civil society now may seem high and trying but the duress pales and in reality is a pittance in comparison to what many seem to be anticipating with glee. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 368724

My feelings exactly. If rioting hordes really do start pillaging and raping, a few guns will just put off your fate, not change it.
We need a change in spirit. Maybe it is too late.
We will all die one way or another. We all need to make peace with our fears and hate or they will consume us.
I see a lot of fear mongering going around here lately.
Our spirits are here for a short time only. We originate from another place altogether and we will be returning there.
When we do, we will --each one of us-have to account for what we learned and the ways we interacted with others.
It looks like we are collectively slated for a real horror show...
but remember "With God, all things are possible"
It is good to have food and supplies. It is better to strengthen your spiritual life and your connection with it.
I don't believe in religion. I believe we must all make peace with the divine in us and through us and everything else will follow. Ask God for the wisdom and the strength you need to serve the good and to be a light for world peace.
I feel sorry for people who are bunkered in with all their guns. They must be eaten up with fear and hate. Kind of like a mini version of the US empire...and look where that has gotten us... turtles know: low profiles are best.

If you remove the emotional content from your thinking regarding these sorts of things and just consider them in practical terms and act on your conclusions then you may find yourself purchasing a gun (or not) depending on your particular situation. |

In his famous book, The Collapse of British Power (1972), Correlli Barnett reports that in the opening days of World War II Great Britain only had enough gold and foreign exchange to finance war expenditures for a few months. The British turned to the Americans to finance their ability to wage war. Barnett writes that this dependency signaled the end of British power.
From their inception, America's 21st century wars against Afghanistan and Iraq have been red ink wars financed by foreigners, principally the Chinese and Japanese, who purchase the US Treasury bonds that the US government issues to finance its red ink budgets.
The Bush administration forecasts a $410 billion federal budget deficit for this year, an indication that, as the US saving rate is approximately zero, the US is not only dependent on foreigners to finance its wars but also dependent on foreigners to finance part of the US government's domestic expenditures. Foreign borrowing is paying US government salaries--perhaps that of the President himself--or funding the expenditures of the various cabinet departments. Financially, the US is not an independent country.
The Bush administration's $410 billion deficit forecast is based on the unrealistic assumption of 2.7% GDP growth in 2008, whereas in actual fact the US economy has fallen into a recession that could be severe. There will be no 2.7% growth, and the actual deficit will be substantially larger than $410 billion.
Just as the government's budget is in disarray, so is the US dollar which continues to decline in value in relation to other currencies. The dollar is under pressure not only from budget deficits, but also from very large trade deficits and from inflation expectations resulting from the Federal Reserve's effort to stabilize the very troubled financial system with large injections of liquidity.
A troubled currency and financial system and large budget and trade deficits do not present an attractive face to creditors. Yet Washington in its hubris seems to believe that the US can forever rely on the Chinese, Japanese and Saudis to finance America's life beyond its means. Imagine the shock when the day arrives that a US Treasury auction of new debt instruments is not fully subscribed.
The US has squandered $500 billion dollars on a war that serves no American purpose. Moreover, the $500 billion is only the out-of-pocket costs. It does not include the replacement cost of the destroyed equipment, the future costs of care for veterans, the cost of the interests on the loans that have financed the war, or the lost US GDP from diverting scarce resources to war. Experts who are not part of the government's spin machine estimate the cost of the Iraq war to be as much as $3 trillion.
The Republican candidate for President said he would be content to continue the war for 100 years. With what resources? When America's creditors consider our behavior they see total fiscal irresponsibility. They see a deluded country that acts as if it is a privilege for foreigners to lend to it, and a deluded country that believes that foreigners will continue to accumulate US debt until the end of time.
The fact of the matter is that the US is bankrupt. David M. Walker, Comptroller General of the US and head of the Government Accountability Office, in his December 17, 2007, report to the US Congress on the financial statements of the US government noted that "the federal government did not maintain effective internal control over financial reporting (including safeguarding assets) and compliance with significant laws and regulations as of September 30, 2007." In everyday language, the US government cannot pass an audit.
Moreover, the GAO report pointed out that the accrued liabilities of the federal government "totaled approximately $53 trillion as of September 30, 2007." No funds have been set aside against this mind boggling liability.
Just so the reader understands, $53 trillion is $53,000 billion.
Frustrated by speaking to deaf ears, Walker recently resigned as head of the Government Accountability Office.
As of March 17, 2008, one Swiss franc is worth more than $1 dollar. In 1970, the exchange rate was 4.2 Swiss francs to the dollar. In 1970, $1 purchased 360 Japanese yen. Today $1 dollar purchases less than 100 yen.
If you were a creditor, would you want to hold debt in a currency that has such a poor record against the currency of a small island country that was nuked and defeated in WW II, or against a small landlocked European country that clings to its independence and is not a member of the EU?
Would you want to hold the debt of a country whose imports exceed its industrial production? According to the latest US statistics as reported in the February 28 issue of Manufacturing and Technology News, in 2007 imports were 14 percent of US GDP and US manufacturing comprised 12% of US GDP. A country whose imports exceed its industrial production cannot close its trade deficit by exporting more.
The dollar has even collapsed in value against the euro, the currency of a make-believe country that does not exist: the European Union. France, Germany, Italy, England and the other members of the EU still exist as sovereign nations. England even retains its own currency. Yet the euro hits new highs daily against the dollar.
Noam Chomsky recently wrote that America thinks that it owns the world. That is definitely the view of the neoconized Bush administration. But the fact of the matter is that the US owes the world. The US "superpower" cannot even finance its own domestic operations, much less its gratuitous wars except via the kindness of foreigners to lend it money that cannot be repaid.
The US will never repay the loans. The American economy has been devastated by offshoring, by foreign competition, and by the importation of foreigners on work visas, while it holds to a free trade ideology that benefits corporate fat cats and shareholders at the expense of American labor. The dollar is failing in its role as reserve currency and will soon be abandoned.
When the dollar ceases to be the reserve currency, the US will no longer be able to pay its bills by borrowing more from foreigners.
I sometimes wonder if the bankrupt "superpower" will be able to scrape together the resources to bring home the troops stationed in its hundreds of bases overseas, or whether they will just be abandoned.

If you want to guarantee water which should be one of our number one concerns. You could plumb in line with your existing water heater another water heater (in the line before your primary one) that way you have an additional 50 gallons of water should service be cut off.
It would not of course need to be turned on to heat, it would just act as a constantly refreshed source of water in case of service failure.
What do you think? |

He was in a concentration camp with his father. He loved his father but still sold him out for more bread.
Starving people become the most primal. There is no love to be found when looking for food. It took humankind many thousands of years to find "love" and even then, only a few get it. Love is a higher thought -- one that few can attain and even fewer still once starvation kicks in.
As much as I wish for love for all mankind, history and any visit to a mall shows that the "me" mentality will rule the day once starvation and depletion of supplies kick in. I have armed and prepared, wishing for the best, but knowing the primal instincts for food, procreation, and water will outweigh any higher mind ideals. |

Will your children be protected with you hold up somewhere in a killing frenzy?? Word gets out to your location and all the sudden, you and yours are under siege from all quarters. Interesting.
I never hear Omega speak of community, just protecting his stuff.
He has every right to do so,...
I just find it all un-productive.

Quoting: fieldolight
Two excellent points contained within.
Shun the actual hard work of community where you must deal with the reality of this world in lieu of some imagined Hollywood western fantasy of the rugged individual.
The sad irony of emptyness in finding the sole solution an attempt to duplicate a mini version of that which created the problem.
It is worth pondering the judgement which simultaneously clings to the established while cavalierly tosses off the smashing it at the same time. |

For 4 years I have admonished Americans to take the agent provocateurs behind the woodshed when they suggest looting the NG armory or attacking govt installations. There will be paid agents among you, looking only to generate the chaos requisite for UN troops to enter, restore "order", eliminate all audit trails, and put the kibosh on The USA.
Organizing in neighborhood groups that understand and will observe Constitutional precepts rather than fall into fearful reaction is our only course of action, Guided by your Relationship With God.
I despise intellectually arrogant pukes who try to claim the new-age high-road. If you weren't anything more than self-willed and self-serving you might have given your life to God and thereby Received HIS Guidance in your life.
What you think is right is of no consequence.
What you know of these times is of no matter, except to those who rely on you and cannot fathom that your methods are unsound....
Hell is about to be unleashed upon this earth and only surrender unto The Living God can Deliver you. Can't wrap your noodle around that? What more do you want than The Word Made Flesh Giving you assurance? Oh that's right; you want it all to make sense to you first... That is why so few can surrender. Only those who Love HIM more than themselves can give up their lives willingly and with joy; accepting HIS Will rather than their own for the rest of their days.
I was self-willed.
Being In-Accord with HIS Will is 100m times better.
Soon you will Know that HE IS Real.
Gonna kinda be too late for the leap of faith when faith is superseded by Knowing HE IS Real.
Oh well, good luck to those who rely on you.
They will surely need luck and HIS Mercy. |

Omega, great post.
We just bought 2.5 acres in the middle of what was a Christmas tree farm. Small plot, but all we could afford.
Hope to put some type of building on it this year just in case we need a place to go. The "soil" is all sand though. Any suggestions other than carting in loads upon loads of dirt? Quoting: muffinsma 304373
I'm in Florida and my property is all sand. I get cow manure from the local cattle ranch and till it into my soil with 12-12-12 fertilizer...I dig trenches like Omega and plant in the mounds. Then I cover the mounds with hay or straw, whatever is cheaper. The hay holds moisture in the soil. I water daily and once the seedlings are up for a week I fertilize with "miracle grow" once a week ...it comes in a powder that you mix with water while watering with a hose. I get huge yields of everything...and even feed the old lady down the street. It's fun work and worth it...

This would almost be humorous were it not for the spittle.
Among the many retorts that come to mind, the best is for readers to let these words speak for themselves.....even though they be better suited to a placard on a street corner or coming from a revival tent on a warm evening. |
