These polygamists are disgusting. They need to be run out of this country. Let them go somewhere else. God knows there are already enough perverts around. Child abusers like these are the most heinous kind.
I hope EVERY one of their sex ranches are raided.
Once these men ar ein prison, they will get to really feel what it is like to be sexually abused and they most certainly deserve it. No pity from me!

Why is the federal government against polygamy.

There are many polygamy hating comments on this thread I just want to know why you think it'd disgusting, or morally wrong? |

Also,
Why in one breath do you condemn these heterosexual 'sex ranches' but in the next breath praise the homosexual 'sex ranches'?
You are appalled by abuse but at the same time you are a proponet of it.
It makes no sence. |

How old was your grandmother when she got married?
How old was her mother when she was married?
If your family history was anything like mine, then there is no reason for you to think that that is wrong.
I certainly don't hold anything against my great grandfather, or my great, great grandfather.
Thanks to them, and what you consider a 'disgusting' lifestyle, they had very healthy and robust offspring that were fortunate enough to have very healthy and robust parents, that raised them up well enough to propagate, and create me. |

MSM has very little credibility nevertheless ALL religion is a form of institutionalized sexual abuse. Anyone with common sense can look at these groups, be they the Koresh or Warren Jeffs followers, and know goes on there. The only difference between mainstream and fringe religions is the sexual abuse more refined and indirect in the former. |

Big difference here! |

When the government is done with its work on this evil LDS group they need to turn to a much larger and far more sinister religious cult that is also filled with child abusers.
At least the LDS and the Roman Catholic Bishops can take heart: they're not alone... Quoting: Godot
These people are not LDS they are FLDS, think of them as FIRED from the LDS church because of the Polygamy they were (FLDS) practicing which had been banned from the LDS church very long ago..... |

They have all these kids and go on welfare (who can support huge broods of kids by multiple wives ?) so really our tax dollars are paying for this toxic shit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 411054
I believe thats why the Government intervened in this cult. Because they are all collecting welfare, food stamps, and state insurance. The US government is paying for these communities and in a sense it had the responsibility and ability and necessity to intervene on these frauds. |

HER STORY SMELLS KIND OF BULL SHITTY TO ME. LIKE THE MCMARTIN PRESCHOOL STUFF. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5174
Actually the preschool stuff has been proven to be true and it was all suppressed by the MSM, (no surprise there). Youare very naive if you think people are not capable of abusing infants, and or do not abuse infants. As people get older their tolerance for hearing a baby crying becomes virtually non existent. |

I see nothing wrong with a self-sufficient, peaceful community, but this is not it.
I would love to see a self-sufficient, peaceful community without the religious fanatics. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 403022
That is true, they kick the boys out, some of them when they are barely tweens. The kicked out boys are called The Lost Boys and that is exactly what they become. They get hooked on drugs and are virtually lost for years. One day they are apart of something the next they are out. It is really sad these boys are very kind, caring, respectful and decent kids too. |

While the LDS church doesn't practice polygamy right now they fully expect to in the next life. If the force of law was removed they would revert back to the original teachings of Joseph Smith. Even today in an attempt to control sexuality, young (12+) girls and boys are taken in the bishops offices alone behind closed doors and questioned about any sexual activities. Masterbation, kissing, petting or any other hot button that comes up. 40 years olds talking sex to kids. Very cozy. Nothing changes. |

Are you kidding? Men having more wives and children than they can afford? Expecting the government to pay for them all. Kicking out their baby sons because they their sons are competition to the old mens twisted desires of sex with children girls, and their youthful sons become cock blockers,to their twisted desires. Tiny girls being indocrinated to prepare herself the indignity of having to share her wrinkly inadequate husband with multiple wives and communes of children............. thats just a few off the top |

Like the Germans said in WWII, they only are taking the Jews. This is scary.

Actually it's not "exactly true" it's your supposition and not fact. I grew up in it and have not been active in years. It is not the practice for men to discuss sex with children as you say and allude in veiled innuendo in your threads. Stop mixing multiple religions into one religion. |
