Goth girls are as nice as - often nicer than, even - any other girls out there. They sometimes look like zombies or vampires, but the ones I've met are down-to-earth realists, and quite sincere. Don't let the artsy/macabre thing intimidate you.

I have been in the scene for a long time and one thing I can tell you is that they are idealistic. in my case that is a good thing, so ask your self what kind of person you are.

Ive tried to make many my GF they are never down :(

And im not a christer or anything, i suspect that behind the whole "im not part of society" thing they are just like other women in that you have to be attractive to be with them :(

One thing I have noticed about them is that they have a cool sense of humor sarcastic at times but in a good way I recommend them specially if you are into the scene.

I am a Goth Lite (no tats no piercings nothing extreme)

yes they are either great or they are crazy..

If you're trying to hit on goth girls then you are at some level probably attracted to the image ahead of the person and of course females will pick up on that.

Not that it's relevant to your question, but for many people it's part of a phase they go through in early life. I've known many girls over the years who were way into one subculture or another--then you run into them five years later and they have a husband and two kids and are dressed like a dishwasher commercial.

I must add that "goth" is something that has been assigned to me by other people... I don't really see myself that way... I get what they mean by goth, but I never saw myself that way until THEY did.

lots of goths past the high school level of dressing a certain way to get attention have the same experience... so when they refer to themselves as goth, it is usually said tongue-in-cheek...

whats the difference between 'goth' and 'emo'. When I was in highschool there where no 'emos' we just called them all 'goths'. BTW off topic but I knew a preacher's daughter that was a 'goth'.

Goth is dead. Has been dead since the late 80s. Marilyn Manson isn't "Goth", he's more "Fag Pop". He isn't even Industrial.

The whole subculture has been overtaken by Emos.

I know a bunch of people that used to claim they were goth and dressed the part, but gave it up because of being mistaken for "Emo".

funny thing is that I'm a rancher and have a wife that is into the goth look. She goes with me to team roping events and fits in with all of my other friends. She's the most popular around the events, but don't be juvenile and come back with something rude. I'm myself and she's herself. It makes for an interesting conversation starter when someone who's never met us before gets a sight of us. Opposites do attract.
