Re: Anyone lived ever in a haunted house?
A girl I know rented a condo on top of an indian burial site. She was a devout christian and anytime she would try to hang something religious on the wall it would fly off by itself . Radio and television stations would change by themselves , and one time she looked in a mirror and saw an old indian chief behind her . She turned around , nothing was there and then she felt an icy cold wind go right through her .

She moved out after two weeks .

I would too. I just felt watched in on of my old apartments. There was this part of the room that just FELT like it hated me. no one ever wanted to stay alone in that apartment, day of night. How do I avoid accidentally finding another apartment like that?

Re: Anyone lived ever in a haunted house?
Many times. The best was when I was still a single fellow and had a place which was the second oldest structure in our town the oldest being the mansion for which this humble abode served as slave quarters. I remember askin a builder friend -why the vestibule was so big and the stairs just happened to be amazing to look down on this large area viewing wise. He was like this is done so the viewing would be best served.

BTW my wify was born in Salem Mass.........

wow! I remember as a kid seeing another kid at my parents house, out of the corner of my eye. Found out later that a little boy had been crippled and died in my bedroom. Never malicious though, seemed curious.

When was the dump there? Like turn of the century? I love this shit.

I sleep in an old antique bed from that time. No one has strangled me yet, but I believe. :)

Ahhh that's creepy! Especially the part with the old indian standing behind her!

Also, OP, you can do clearings on your new places before you move in. The day before I move my stuff into a new place I walk all the empty rooms and ring a bell all around every wall and every corner as I bless it. Then I burn sage and walk the place again to purify the rooms.

I also do it for the old place I'm moving out of, just to clear my own energies out of the space.

Re: Anyone lived ever in a haunted house?
The place was built in 1846. What was great before the inbuilding was the location in the middle of town. When all the lawyers left for home at 6 the place became a ghosttown.

We would board and inline skate all over the place the other few families would let the their dogs out to play with ours grill, lite the tiki lantern and just be. the orginal's still haunting about the place loved the good times too.........lots of hoops. maybe vollyball with beers.

Re: Anyone lived ever in a haunted house?
I live in a house now that I believe to be haunted. Not too much happens that I notice. But the drawer of the DVD player opens and closes by itself, even when the thing is turned off. Also the satellite box turns itself on and off and switches channels by itself. I found myself standing there explaining to the "ghost" one day exactly what it was so it would quit playing with it, LOL, it was getting annoying. Felt silly, but it doesn't happen very frequently, if at all, anymore...!!

I heard, but never verified that there was a double homicide in this house at one time...

And I used to bartend in a tavern that had a quadruple homicide in the mid '90's. That place, too, is haunted, if one has a mind to notice......

Re: Anyone lived ever in a haunted house?
Living in an odd bird now, built atop an old gold mine, I hear. I think it came to being in 1904, but can't swear to it.

Funky energy in here at times, get quite a few EVPs when I have attempted. Seen a few things and smell a lot of perfume, not my scent.

Weirdest thing for me was one day I went to fill the birdbaths. The fawcett outside is difficult to turn becasue if it is not taunt, it leaks. I went out and turned on the hose and began filling one bath and the pressure suddenly deminished. I figured a kink in the hose and found there was none. After investigation I found that the fawcett had turned itself off, tightly. Now I know I turned it on, I filled half a bird bath, but somehow, 15 feet away, it turned itself off. That one got me, because I know how hard it is to turn that fawcett off and it was tight.

Lived in another weird one, built over a old saw mill in Georgia, but that's an even longer story.

Re: Anyone lived ever in a haunted house?
I lived in a house with a falling body.
It had been rented several times to students at the university, but I do not know much of the house history.

Long story short...EVERY NIGHT you would hear someone fall down the stairs from the attic. We kept it locked and ignored it at first. I even have a big vampire type figure that my cat was scared of until we moved there. Then she would run as quick as she could and always on the side to the vampire and hide or in the bedroom. She wouldn't go in the attic and didn't like hanging out in the living room.

Then once we had seen the "black" figure...you know the brief/kinda out of the corner of your eye we went upstairs. Longer story shorter...when my girlfriend said she had felt it sort of touch her I yelled and yelled that I would burn the house down and it would get no peace..no resolve.

After that I never heard it again. Only a few others that we forget to warn as they were staying with us.

In Georgia there was a house where the light bulbs would just blow-up. Shortly before I moved down there to the "band" house one of the guys heard a female voice in the room I would be staying in and heard the door open and she called the dog. He thought nothing of it as he figured his friend got "lucky".

An hour later, he came home and nobody was in the room.
Ok, so point is I ended up staying in that room. One night I heard some female voice and tried to ignore it while sleeping. I then felt something on my bed like a hand going back and forth quickly on my sleeping bag. I would turn over and say knock it off. It came closer to my body and was faster and louder. Finally I turned over/away and said you don't scare me I am going to sleep.

A few minutes later one of the guys in the house was heard yelling as loud as he could down the hall..apparently it went into his room and scared him, lol.

I was in another house where all my friends could sometimes hear voices and dumb kids we were used the Ouija board..I'll just say regardless of what it was I'll never use it again.

I think I told you also about when my grandfather was dying. My girlfriend and I were in the kitchen playing poker (sober) and listening through a baby moniter. Well, we both heard grandpa mumbling something and then heard a really faint female voice in the monitor..we both just looked at each other kind of scared like/shocked.

Then we BOTH saw a black figure fly by in twoards where my mother was sleeping. At that point I asked out loud if it was my grandmother to show us a sign. I heard a distinct knocking on the glass of the door to the laundry room. We then saw the figure fly into the living room where my uncle was staying. Almost like she came and visited her kids I guess.

Also, the Berklee College Of Music Dorms where I stayed in Boston was an old hotel where the strangler killed people. MANY, MANY students including my ex-wife had experiences where they would see balls of light, hear voices all sorts of things.

I asked the housing director about it once and he confirmed it, but would not elaborate on it.

Re: Anyone lived ever in a haunted house?
I've lived in a couple but, the most haunted house I lived in one I was around four or five years old. My mother told me how a light like a flash light would shine on the floor every night and they couldn't find the source of the light and the door would come unlocked at exactly 3:00 every morning. My mother would hear the deadbolt click in the livingroom because she slept on the couch because my father worked night shift and she felt safer in there. Also, the facet outside would turn on full blast for no reason.

The scariest thing there happened to me. I was outside. It was just getting dark and the other kids went in. I saw an aparition float through the yard and like sit on a pole that was in the yard. It scared me so bad. It was not my imigination. I know that house was haunted we moved soon afterward.

Since being a adult I lived in a house that just had a presence. I never saw anything but constantly you felt like you were being watched and my dog would frequently follow something with her eyes around the room. We would be like what is she looking at. She has never done it at any other house.

I definitely believe some houses are haunted.

Re: Anyone lived ever in a haunted house?
I have heard that if you think there are ghosts in your home that you should burn white candles and put pure salt (not table salt) in all the corners of your home.

The best way to deal with ghosts is to busy yourself with something else when you get a feeling that they are there. If you pay attention to them, it will make them stronger.

If you feel them in one area of your home, brighten up the area with flowers or something beautiful and loving to you. Be glad that you don't have an energetic, mischievous ghost/s

Once my girlfriend was having it off with the neighbors and then someone came in and gunned her and the neighbors down. It wasn't me because I ran off with the barman's wife. Probably nothing to do with a haunting, but still creepy as fuck!
