It burned to the ground on Fri. the 13th last year at the stroke of midnight. They rebuilt and it is beautiful but the spirits are mostly congested in the basement now. I have only been there once because the house causes me nausea and the fight or flight syndrome. It is driving the family mad and many problems. My brother would never speak of these things so I have no idea what he experiences. I am a ghosthunter/house clearer and that house scares the piss out of me. |

After that apartment and the next place we lived some bad stuff happened too. Two girls went missing from our apartment complex Ashley and Miranda. FBI were there and everything. They found their bodies at the house at top of the complex under a freshly laid patio and stuffed in a barrel in the back shed. The owner of the house (the guy who rented it was the killer) had the house destroyed because he could feel them lingering...now it's a memorial park. It STILL creeps me out to go by there. God never gives you anything that you can't handle. So buck up and handle your shit! |

That is no joke! This isn't a haunted house story but another type. My exhusband was a musician and we had a recording studio at our home. We are in Green Bay right next to the Onieda Nation. He joined with some Onieda Indians to make some music. They formed a band and made some great music, despite a clash in egos. LOL. Anyway, sometime later they wanted to records some songs sacred to the Oniedas and the Elders got wind of this and forbade it. Not only did they forbade it, but threatened the life of all the band members and their families if they went ahead. Quoting: Rebecca 413536In their arrogance, they went ahead and made their CD. muffinsma User ID: 304373 United States 04/12/2008 04:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey Rebecca, I live about 50 miles to your south. Yes, we also had lived in a house where strange things happened. We knew that someone's grandma had died in the 4 year old house, but weren't bothered by it. One day I was doing some floor exercises, and while lying on the floor I felt something touch my leg. I looked up thinking it was the dog, but there was nothing there. On another day I was going into the basement to do laundry(it was a quad- level), and just at the moment when I opened the door as I was turning on the light, I saw a white "something" floating in the air. of course it was gone when the light went on. Never saw it again. One night I had just awakened and heard the knob of the bedroom door turning. I thought it was my son coming in to tell me he was sick, but the door never opened and no one came in. I asked him the next morning if he had started to come into our bedroom and he said no. My son also would hear someone walking on the stairs when he was down in the family room. We lived there 4 years, and the people who bought the house from us lived there about 3 years. |
cdn-joe User ID: 186050 Canada 04/12/2008 05:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The house I live in now. Didn't know it at the time but the previous owner, who lived there with her adult daughter, was executed by firing squad in Vietnam after being caught trying to smuggle out drugs. Their was a huge media & diplomatic uproar at the time (eight years ago), but the Vietnamese government exectued her anyway. [link to ccadp.org] After the investigation they discovered that she was alledgedly set up by her daughter, who made it out of the country without getting caught. The mother's last words were, as reported by the press, were, "I just want to go home. Please send me home." From the day I moved in onwards, many times, out of the corner of my eye, I think I see her comming up the front walk. She even passes by windows every now and then and glances in. I can feel when I'm being watched. But I only see her in mirrors. And others have seen here too. When they ask who the ol' "Chinese" lady was, I just say it was a friend. Easier that way. They were Buddists, and when I took possession of the house, the daughter left behind a big, hand carved alter of sorts. It creeped me out, but I kept it for the craftsmanship. For months after we moved in, I would occasionally find money placed at my front door, or at the end of my driveway. Some real, but mostly symbolic money. After my inquiries, some of us deduced that it was maybe her daughter trying to appease her spirit. That was it. I chucked out that creepy alter. |

What I mean is, you're going to read stuff on this website that is going to haunt you for the rest of your days unless you are the type of person who can read stuff like this and laugh about it. Here's a sample of what you're in for if you decide to visit this website - It's about nurses reporting their ghost stories and the one I'm about to post is very tame; some of the stories are very disturbing and if this stuff scares you then be forewarned that you best leave this stuff alone and get another hobby: "I work as a CNA in long term care. We had one resident "Betty" who was totally independant, all ADL's were done on her own and she did fine on her own, never had an incident. The only time she wanted help was showers and then she only wanted you around to make sure she didn't slip and fall. Betty came down with pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. When she came back she was too weak to do things on her own but too stubborn to ask for help. The last thing the CNA told her before going to bed was "If you want to get up, hit your call light. I'll come help you." Of course she didn't, got rid of the bed alarm, climed out of bed and fell. Betty died from the fall. No one has been moved into her bed. The following week the call light for the room went off at night. Thinking it was the resident in bed B I walked down the room to see what she wanted. I walked into the room only to see the call light for bed B and A off, the call light for bed C (Betty's unoccupied bed) was on. My eyes filled up with tears, I backed out of the room and made someone else turn the call light off." As I said, this is nothing; You will read stories of those who died who were not right with the Lord and they did not "pass quietly" and that's putting it mildly. Anonymous Coward User ID: 413244 United Kingdom 04/14/2008 10:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We live in a pre WW2 house outside of London. One night my husband came home from work and the front door wasnt shut all the way.(for those who live in england you know this is a big no no) He walked in the house. The staircase is in the foyer as you walk in the fromt door and he looked up to see a small girl of eight or 9 dressed in a long nightdress sitting on the stairs peering through the banister. She saw him and ran upstairs. He ran upstairs but of course didnt find anything. HE DIDNT HAVE A DAUGHTER THAT AGE. His daughter was an infant. Well, when I moved in with him years later he didnt tell me anything about it. I was alone in the house and just laid on the bed to rest..suddenly I felt the hair all over my body stand on end..I felt someone watching me..the creepiest feeling I ever had and so I went downstairs and tried to shake it off. We hear alot of walking upstairs and on the staircase. My dog sits and stares at the staircase landing for hours. Pictures rattle on the walls, clocks chime out of sequence. TAPS turn themselves on FULL BLAST..it is common for us to wake up with the bathroom taps on and neither of us have even been in the bathroom. We hear dishes clank in the cupboards. Twice we left the house during the day and didnt get back until later than we expected and didnt leave any lights on..if you open the door under our stairs a light comes on automatically..and both times that door was unbolted and the light was on when we got home. It NEVER happened before either..only when we forgot to leave lights on..alot of our photos in this house have orbs in them and even some have a stange "mist"..we dont react anymore as this spirit is benevolent..sometimes its quiet then we have periods of activity. Its just part of our lives now. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 454840 United States 11/11/2008 01:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've lived in haunted houses but by far the most chilling place is somewhere I worked. It was a county jail built on top of an Indian burial ground. On graveyard, when the inmates were locked down and all was quiet, we could hear the spirits talking in their native tongue and would often see them as we made our rounds. The place had a cursed feel to it. Then one of the officers was murdered and his ghost was seen there all the time. He would pound the walls and send the inmates into a frenzy. He also was often seen making his rounds. The rumor was that he had been murdered by fellow officers, not inmates, and it was the officers that he haunted the most. There was this choking feeling of anger and pain at the place. It started to consume people and change them while there. I was glad to get out of there. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 58109 United States 11/11/2008 01:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This happened in a little town, Norris Arm, in Newfoundland, and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it’s absolutely true. This guy was on the side of the road hitchhiking on a very dark night in the middle of a terrible rainstorm, and no cars were on the road. The storm was so strong the guy could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly, he saw a car come toward him and stop. The guy, without thinking about it, got in the car and closed the door and only then did he realize that there was nobody behind the wheel! The car started to move very slowly. The guy looked at the road and saw a curve coming his way. Petrified, he started to pray, begging for his life. He had not come out of shock when, just before the car hit the curve, a hand suddenly appeared through the window and moved the steering wheel. The guy, now paralyzed in terror, watched how the hand appeared every time the car was approaching a curve. Finally, although terrified, the guy managed to open the door and jump out of the spooky car. Without looking back, the guy ran through the storm all the way to the nearest town. Soaking wet exhausted and in a state of utter shock the pale, visibly shaken guy, walked into a nearby bar and asked for two shots of Scotch. Then, still trembling with fright, he started telling everybody in the bar about the horrible experience he just went through with the spooky car with no driver and the mysterious hand that kept appearing. Everyone in the bar listed in silence and became frightened, listening to this eerie story, hairs stood on end when they realized the guy was telling the truth because he was crying and he definitely was not drunk! About half an hour later two guys walked into the same bar and one said to the other, “Hey, there’s the arsehole who jumped into the car while we were pushin it!” -------------------------- (sorry couldn't help it... spanish version) This happened in a little town in New Mexico, and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's absolutely true: This guy was on the side of the road hitch hiking on a very dark and stormy night. The guy, without thinking about it, got in the car, closed the door, and only then realized that there was nobody behind the wheel! The car starts going again, very slowly. The guy looks at the road and sees a curve coming his way. Scared, he starts to pray and begs for his life. Just before the car hits the curve, a hand appears through the window and turns the wheel. The guy, paralyzed in terror, watched how the hand appeared each time the car approached a curve. Gathering his strength, he gets out of the car and runs all the way to the nearest town. Wet and in shock, he goes into a cantina, asks for two shots of tequila and starts telling everybody about the horrible experience he just went through. A silence enveloped everyone when they realized the guy was crying hysterically and wasn't drunk. About a half hour later, two other guys walk into the same cantina and one said to the other, "Mira, Pedro. That's the Pendejo that got in the car while we were pushing it!" |

LGuapoDiablo User ID: 653290 Canada 04/09/2009 04:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm not sure if the places I live in are haunted or if I am? Everywhere I go they're there. I know clairvoyance has run in my family for generations. I have seen things since I was little. As a child I would see ghosts everywhere and have nightmares about them. As a teenager they would show up sitting on the foot of the bed crying. Now that I'm in my late 20's I still have issues with it! It's slowly dissipating only because I try my hardest to ignore it all. But I still hear them, catch glimpses, feel them and get a good scare once in awhile. My last place was the most terrible one to date though! Whatever was there was evil! It would attack my door, slam stuff around, throw stuff at us, fling doors open, scratch, hit and it even tried to strangle me once. It would not leave so when we left I made it very clear that it was not allowed to come with us and must stay there. I think it stayed there but sometimes I still get a very eerie feeling like it's lurking over top of me! Since moving to a new place 2 years ago there has not been such severe attacks but this place still has it's problems. It knocks and scratches on walls for hours on end and it's not mice (modular home with very thin walls that are only inch thick solid sheets of drywall) and it has slapped 2 people. I tried to cleanse the place but it seemed to get angry and it got really active for awhile but it hasn't touched anyone since. From time to time at night we'll also hear a "rabid" sounding dog coming from our back yard (nobodies about to check), our yard is fenced off and we don't own a dog. I know there's a little girl ghost, she screams outside around 3am (I have checked to make sure that it's not the living and there's never anything), she's said hello a few times and she cries in the one empty room. We can't leave anything that makes noise in our living room or it will go off. I don't think it's the little girl causing all the torment. It might be the lurking one. The little girl is the only one that has made herself known for sure! And to be honest I don't really want to find out! Just as long as it keeps to itself I'm good! I sucked a dick |
