At this point of maturity, you are no longer "killing" the plant. The plant wants you to eat its mature fruit so you can go shit it out somewhere else and it can start a new plant. For carrots, they need to two growing cycles. Once they flower, they are dead anyways. We are meant to eat mature fruits and vegetables. |
