Non-aligned nations support nuclear right

More than 100 non-aligned nations backed Iran's right to peaceful uses of nuclear power Wednesday, an endorsement sought by Tehran in its standoff with the UN Security Council over its refusal to freeze uranium enrichment.

US officials: Iran rebuffed on nuclear support:

Iran sought but failed to win support from nonaligned nations this week for lifting U.N. sanctions and kicking the U.N. Security Council out of the dispute over its nuclear program, U.S. officials said Friday.

Although Iran did get a broad endorsement of its right to peaceful uses of nuclear power, the officials said the 120-nation Nonaligned Movement rebuffed its attempt for total backing of its position at a high-level conference it hosted in Tehran on Wednesday, ahead of a weekend deadline for Iran to respond to an offer of incentives to halt suspect activities.

A final statement adopted by foreign ministers did not include several key Iranian-proposed passages that called for the lifting of sanctions and rejected the authority of the U.N. Security Council in dealing with the nuclear matter, the officials said.

Mitri, talking to reporters after the meeting, conveyed the draft stressed on "the principle of state unity as the sole authority in regulating the government's decisions, commitments and paths and would apply to all clauses of the policy statement." He said the statement included a clause on the "right of Lebanon, its people, army and resistance to liberate or reclaim its land."

Iran's Nuclear Program, Security Weigh Heavily in Israel Campaign

Iran's nuclear program is becoming an increasingly important issue in the race for Israel's premiership, though the campaign started in earnest only last week. The issue is certain to become more politicized with a primary rapidly approaching -- contributing to a climate that could further rattle global oil markets and inflame regional tensions.

The Israeli campaign is heating up just as the U.S. is trying to ease anxieties over Iran and focus on diplomacy.

Report: Iran responses to 5+1 package:

Iranian Ambassador to Brussels Ali-Asghar Khaji on Tuesday handed in Tehran's written response to the 5+1 package of incentives to EU officials, the semi-official Fars News Agency reported.

The report did not give further details about Iran's reply, which has not yet been verified by Iranian official sources.

The EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana handed over to Iran in mid-June a package of incentives proposed by six major powers requiring the country to suspend its nuclear enrichment program in exchange for political and economic benefits.

Solana and Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili held talks in Geneva on July 19 over Tehran's disputed nuclear program.

In the meeting, Iran gave no clear answer to the package of incentives, though Western diplomats said the country was asked to make a response within two weeks.

Iran did not give any answer by the Saturday deadline concerning the package.

Jalili and Solana on Monday called for "positive air" over Tehran's nuclear issue in a telephone conversation. Jalili said that his country would deliver a written response to the package on Tuesday.

Again, with only a nights rest in the last week, things are moving fast. When things come out over the next few days, I am afraid we will be seeing the start of a new war if some independent forces do not come into play. Must go back to work, thank god for satellite receivers. Pray for peace very hard the next four days, everyone on this small planet needs it.

There are significant terror alerts associated with the Olympics, Israel is prepared at a moment's notice to go o war against the Hezbollah, Iran and Suria, the U.S. and EU will crank up the pressure on Iran with a blockade, and Russia is pushing the button to an-all-out war that directly invovles Israel and the U.S.

JUST PROVIDED INFO FROM MOSSAD AGENT'S WIFE

IF ONLY YOU ALL KNEW WHAT IS TAKING PLACE. WHILE WAR BREAKS OUT TO THE NORTH OF ISRAEL - Israel prepares for war herself, and so does Iran and Syria.
Over the past few weeks, Israeli leaders have intercepted top secret coded messages that were provided between Iran and Russia. The just of those messages was the fact that Iran is forcing Russia to come to her assistance through secret treaties and threats of terrorism unless Russia sides with Iran. A plan then was created to get Russia to move south towards Israel and Iran. Iran is supplying the finances and Russia is to move through Georgia down towards Turkey. If Turkey fails to follow, Turkey shall be invaded. However, Muslims in Turkey have already assured Russia that if she helps defeat Israel, then they are supportive and will not fight Russia off.
Meanwhile Israel and the U.S. have tried to shore up the defenses of Georgia to ensure that such a venture did not take place by Russia. U.S. troops had been in Georgia openly training for the coming warfare. Israeli special forces too have been in Georgia to try to keep Russia off balance. The goal was to strike first to keep Russia's attack from succeeding. There is still hope that Georgia will fight off Russia. Meanwhile, tensions mount through out the Caucuses, Mideast, and Israel.
The Gog Magog War could soon begin unless Russia is stalled.

Georgia pays price for its Nato ambitions:

While the world watched China's pyrotechnical tour de force at the opening of the Beijing Olympics, President Mikheil Saakashvili of Georgia was making a plaintive appeal for Western help against Russian military aggression.

One fact is clear: the Kremlin's troops would not be in South Ossetia today if Georgia were a loyal ally. Instead, Mr Saakashvili is paying the price for his pro-Western foreign policy and, in particular, his ambition to join Nato.

Two key events well beyond Georgia's borders have triggered Russia's fury. The first was Kosovo's declaration of independence in February and the new country's subsequent recognition by many Western states. This brought a public warning from Moscow that Kosovo's move to independence could set a precedent for Georgia's two breakaway regions, Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The second was Nato's pledge at the Bucharest summit in April that membership of the Atlantic Alliance for both Georgia and Ukraine was not a matter of "if" but "when", although in deference to Russian objections, no timetable for entry was granted. This provoked Vladimir Putin, then still Russia's president, to promise more support for Georgia's breakaway regions.
