Diplomats: Syria turned away IAEA:
Syria has blocked a new visit by International Atomic Energy Agency experts seeking to follow up on intelligence that Damascus built a secret nuclear program built with the help of North Korea, diplomats told The Associated Press on Saturday.
The diplomats also said Washington was circulating a note among members of the IAEA board opposing a Syrian push for a seat on the 35-nation board. The board normally works by consensus and a seat held by Damascus could thus hamper any investigation into its alleged nuclear activities.
Syria fears a massive atomic agency investigation similar to the probe Iran has been subjected to more than five years.

IF ONLY YOU ALL KNEW WHAT IS TAKING PLACE. WHILE WAR BREAKS OUT TO THE NORTH OF ISRAEL - Israel prepares for war herself, and so does Iran and Syria.
Over the past few weeks, Israeli leaders have intercepted top secret coded messages that were provided between Iran and Russia. The just of those messages was the fact that Iran is forcing Russia to come to her assistance through secret treaties and threats of terrorism unless Russia sides with Iran. A plan then was created to get Russia to move south towards Israel and Iran. Iran is supplying the finances and Russia is to move through Georgia down towards Turkey. If Turkey fails to follow, Turkey shall be invaded. However, Muslims in Turkey have already assured Russia that if she helps defeat Israel, then they are supportive and will not fight Russia off.
Meanwhile Israel and the U.S. have tried to shore up the defenses of Georgia to ensure that such a venture did not take place by Russia. U.S. troops had been in Georgia openly training for the coming warfare. Israeli special forces too have been in Georgia to try to keep Russia off balance. The goal was to strike first to keep Russia's attack from succeeding. There is still hope that Georgia will fight off Russia. Meanwhile, tensions mount through out the Caucuses, Mideast, and Israel.
The Gog Magog War could soon begin unless Russia is stalled.
I think Isaiah 17:1 will happen first. Of course, that's just my opinion.
Either way, it appears life on Earth as we know it is rapidly coming to an end. |

Quick to the point, time is rapidly ticking down to the Israeli War. With Russia involved in the baltics, my beloved Israel is now prepared to hit the Hezbollah and then Iran. The hope is with all preoccupied, the attack will go off in the coming days or weeks. Nothing more to say on this. |

'Israel can decide for itself on Iran'
US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice defended Israel's right to make its own decision about whether it takes military action against Iran, in an interview released over the weekend.
"We don't say yes or no to Israeli military operations. Israel is a sovereign country," she said in response to a question from The Politico Web site as to whether she was concerned that America would be blamed in the case of an IDF attack on the Islamic Republic.
Her statements come amid speculation that Washington has warned Jerusalem not to attack Iran and media reports that the US told Israel it doesn't have the green light to use Iraqi airspace for any such attack.
At the same time, Rice emphasized diplomacy.

Israel plays down defense ties with Georgia:
Israel is seeking to play down its defense exports to Georgia, which is battling Russia in a border war.
As fighting intensified over the weekend in Georgia's breakaway South Ossetia region, Russian media queried to what extent their foe had benefited from Israeli arms and military training.

2 Israeli firms say they left Georgia before fighting:
Two Israeli security companies, Defensive Shield and Global CST, announced yesterday that they had completed their projects in Georgia before fighting between that country and Russia broke out on Friday. The two are among several Israeli companies advising Georgia on security matters, training its army and occasionally supplying it with weapons.

Tbilisi wants to see Israel place diplomatic pressure on Russia:

Israel Calls Russian Anti-Aircraft System `Catastrophic` to Iran, Russia
Thanks to Rupa Shah for pointing me to yet another article which displays the solipsistic, “through the looking glass” quality of so much of Israeli defense thinking.
It goes without saying that Iran is preparing for a potential Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities. As part of its preparation, it has negotiated to purchase Russia’s most advanced anti-aircraft system, the S-300:
If Russia goes through with the sale of its most advanced anti-aircraft missile system to Iran, Israel will use an electronic warfare device now under development to neutralize it and as a result present Russia as vulnerable to air infiltrations, a top defense official has told The Jerusalem Post.

Lebanon's Hezbollah campaigns defending its weapons:
Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah launched a verbal campaign against pro-government majority coalition which criticizes Hezbollah's adherence to weapons, LocalAn-Nahar website reported Monday.
"The state which does not preserve the right of the resistance, will not preserve the interests of its people," Hezbollah member of Parliament Mohammed Raad said.
Pointing to the non-stop Israeli threat to Lebanon, Raad said that Israel has even hinted it would target Lebanon for "simply sensing that a protection force is built to protect our country."
Meanwhile, Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadllalah warned Premier Fouad Seniora against manipulating the constitution, and asked him not to go beyond unanimous cabinet decisions because "taking decisions against the resistance is no longer accepted in Lebanon," he said.
Hezbollah's campaign comes at a time when the Lebanese Parliament is debating the new cabinet policy statement to give it the voice of confidence, and amid sharp disputes regarding Hezbollah's right to resist Israel away from state control.

Iran VP: Iranians are friends of all people - even Israelis
Iran's vice president has said the Iranians are friends of all people in the world - even Israelis, Tehran state media reported on Monday.
It's a rare comment from a government official in Iran, whose president
regularly calls for Israel's destruction.
Several newspapers and the official Web site of Iran's tourism agency on
Monday attributed the comment to Vice President Esfandiar Rahim Mashai.
Mashai is in charge of Iranian tourism and historical sites.
It is believed to be the first time an official Iranian government Web site has carried an expression of sympathy by an Iranian vice president toward Israelis.

Iran, EU Willing to Resume Nuclear Talks:
Iran and the European Union reiterated their willingness to resume talks on the dispute over Iran's controversial nuclear programs, according to the ISNA news agency.
Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saeid Jalili and EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana agreed by phone to continue what Iran called "talks in a constructive atmosphere," Iranian State media reported Monday, Aug. 11.
"Solana and Jalili voiced satisfaction at the constructive trend of negotiations in Geneva and the contacts afterwards," the television broadcast said.
According to the report, the two had voiced the same willingness in a phone call on Aug. 4.

US too much in the dark for Iran strike
WASHINGTON - A military attack on Iran's major nuclear facilities by the United States or Israel would likely result only in a delay - and not a particularly significant one at that - in Tehran's ability to produce the fuel necessary to build a nuclear weapon, according to a report released on Friday by an influential think-tank on nuclear proliferation issues.
The 15-page report by the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) concludes that too much is unknown about Tehran's entire program for enriching uranium and how quickly it can be reconstituted if its major known facilities were destroyed in such an attack.

Those of you who are supporting Russia are in fact supporting the troops killing my friends that I helped train last year. We knew Russia would attack, we just did not believe that Russia would do it so quickly. Intelligence officers have discovered a secret agreement between Russia and Iran for the coming war. Israelis stranded in Georgia:
An Israeli airline said radar failure at the Tbilisi airport would prevent it from evacuating Israelis from Georgia.
Arkia Israel Airlines said Monday it could not fly out 100 Israeli nationals waiting to leave Georgia because the airport radar had been bombed beyond function, Ha'aretz reported.
The airline is working to reroute passengers through Azerbaijan.
European carriers reportedly have suspended all flights from their home countries to the Georgian capital because of the fighting that has broken out in the past several days between Russian and Georgian forces in the breakaway South Ossettia region and beyond.
Meanwhile, the Jewish Agency for Israel said it evacuated 200 Jews Saturday from the war-torn Georgian city of Gori.
The Jewish Agency also received 60 new applications for aliyah to Israel at its Tbilisi office, according to a news release. On Sunday, eight Georgian immigrants arrived in Israel.
According to the Jewish Agency, some 10,000 Jews live in Georgia, mostly in the capital city and its environs.
