Thatīs the reason we have JURIES, not national referendums on each trial, doofus. They sit there and DO hear the whole thing. ::smacking head:: |

Anonymer Held 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bandwagon - I believe youīre correct. Absolutely no evidence. Convicted in the court of public opinion. Think Richard Ricci. That guy died also. It would have been left like that with no one knowing the truth except for the fact Elizabeth Smartīs family did the work the policie should have done. God Bless them! (And I disagree with you assessment of God - Godīs there, but what the hell heīs doing these days is really not very understandable.) Also think Richard Jewell and a whole host of other targeted victims of this current regime. Think about how the press twisted everything into making everyone think they were just so guilty. And they werenīt. The American sheople better start waking up and convicting people on facts and not whether the prosecutor wants a conviction. There were a couple of trials where the evidence was completely ignored and that seems to have tipped things totally the other way. Neither is the way to go. And it was a nice twist on this current gladiator game that the Judge simply dismissed the jurors who wouldnīt do what they wanted. Is that the way we really want to go? I guess so because we voted in the regime for another 4 years. Heil Bush! |

Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Op? Circumstantial evidence is *every bit* as probative as any other evidence. It is, in fact, evidence. evidence which in the case of Scott Peterson led to his conviction for the murder of his wife and son. As a matter of fact, sociopaths are historically so narcissistic that they leave no evidence. see: The perfect crime. Unless you can explain away the chain of evidence, the lies, and ALL the other circumstantial evidence which determined this outcome--- how you could call it *bogus* is quite amazing. |

Anonymer Held 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A/C 5:23 - RE: "As a matter of fact, sociopaths are historically so narcissistic that they leave no evidence. see: The perfect crime. Unless you can explain away the chain of evidence," What evidence? There was none. Circumstantial or otherwise. There was a "hair" found. Now this was NOT compelling evidence. Why? BECAUSE SCOTT PETERSON WAS MARRIED TO LACI PETERSON. THEREFORE, HE COULD HAVE COME INTO CONTACT WITH THIS HAIR AND IT COULD HAVE BEEN AND EXAMPLE OF īTRANSFERREDī EVIDENCE. Finding a "hair" is ONLY important where it found in a place where it is IMPOSSIBLE to be found (or at least very unlikely). Like in the house of a stranger who professes they didnīt know Laci Peterson. Yet a hair of Laci is found in the bedroom ... or bathroom. Or in his car. That sort of thing. Finding hairs of oneīs spouse is not important. It would be common to find evidence of your spouse in places you frequent. Therefore, finding say Danielle Van Damīs blood on Westerfieldīs bed linens is extremely crucial because IT SHOULDNīT BE THERE and thereīs no way it could have gotten there EXCEPT IF SHE WAS THERE. Capice? And what are you talking about as regards sociopaths and perfect crimes? How would anyone know if a sociopath committed a perfect crime when the very definition of a perfect crime means that it isnīt discovered?!!!!! What is going on here in terms of the ability to think and reason? Guess so. |
