A DAMN GOOD EDITORIAL: READ IT! PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS ENDORSES OBAMA
VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA

THE CHOICE in Tuesday's Democratic presidential primary is not only the one between a white woman and a black man. It's a choice between the past and the future.
More specifically, the nation must decide how to face the future racing toward us in the form of slumping home sales, unstable financial markets and increased joblessness - and staring at us from the Green Zone in Iraq and the beds at veterans hospitals.

Should Democrats choose someone who will employ hard-won - even bitter - experiences gained in a past Democratic administration, or reach beyond political truisms toward a new (and untried) model of governing?

Neither choice is obvious. Perhaps that's why the race has gone on for so long.

But the long slog through 44 primaries and caucuses has confirmed for us that Sen. Barack Obama's vision of change - and the way he plans to pursue it - is what we need right now. Badly.

This is a campaign that really began six years ago, on Sept. 11, 2001. Not only was the U.S. attacked and seriously wounded, it did not bounce back the way "the land of the free and home of the brave" should have. In fact, it still suffers from post-traumatic stress.

That day and its aftermath cried out for a revolution of values: a clear-eyed shared vision, a cooperative effort, a unified purpose. It cried out for a recognition that conventional warfare and conventional responses to domestic challenges in an era of globalization were not enough.

HE ISN'T GOING TO CHANGE SHIT.

YOU WANT CHANGE? HOW ABOUT WE SELECT SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T MAKE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS A YEAR AND LIVE IN THE RARIFIED ATMOSPHERE OF THE GOLD COST OR CHAPAQUA? HOW ABOUT WE SELECT SOMEONE WHO IDENTIFIES AS AN AMERICAN INSTEAD OF AS AN "AFRICAN AMERICAN"? CAN YOU SAY INHERENTLY DIVISIVE?

LOOK, I CAN'T STAND ANY OF THE OFFERINGS BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE HANDPICKED PARTY PEOPLE WHO HAVE FOUND THE FAVOR OF THEIR MASTERS. THEY NO MORE REPRESENT THE AVERAGE AMERICAN THAN PARIS HILTON OR DONALD TRUMP.

I THINK IT'S TIME TO DO AWAY WITH PARTIES AND DEVISE A NEW SYSTEM BASED ON CAPACITY AND HONESTY AND INTEGRITY AND EXPERIENCE. SET UP A NEW SET OF PARAMETERS AND START FROM THE REAL GRASSROOTS BY HAVING EVERY COMMUNITY PRESENT ONE MEMBER THEY FEEL IS BEST SUITED BASED ON THEIR CRITERIA. AS THEY MOVE UP THE LADDER TOWARDS CANDIDACY, VET THEM THROUGH BACKGROUND CHECKS, INTERVIEWS, POLYGRAPHS, ETC. WEED OUT THE FLAWED AND THE CRIMINAL, THE HABITUAL LIARS AND SOCIOPATHS. LET EACH STATE QUALIFY ONE CANDIDATE AT THE END OF THE PROCESS AND THEN TURN IT OVER TO A NATIONAL REFERENDUM AND RUNOFF. MAKE THE CAMPAIGN 100% CONTRIBUTION FREE. THE PEOPLE OWN THE AIRWAVES, THEY CAN SIMPLY RETAIN SOME OF THE TIME FROM EVERY NETWORK FOR THE PROCESS INSTEAD OF ALLOWING THEM TO RESELL WHAT'S OURS BACK TO US FOR A PROFIT. HAVE A NATIONAL ELECTION FOR THE BEST 10 OR TWELVE AND THEN ALLOW THOSE FINALISTS TO CAST THE DECIDING VOTE.

WHAT WE HAVE NOW IS ABOUT AS POORLY DESIGNED A SYSTEM AS YOU COULD CRAFT, BUT IT ISN'T THROUGH FAILURE OR INCOMPETENCE, IT'S THROUGH DESIGN, BECAUSE IT DELIVERS AN INSIDER WHO IS WILLING TO SAY ANYTHING AND DO ANYTHING TO GET A HOLD OF THE REINS OF POWER AND THAT'S NOT WHAT AMERICA NEEDS.

Tripe.
I'm sick of hearing about change, but never hearing HOW things will change.
Bunch of empty campaigning rhetoric.
I've looked at his voting record, and he is not the man I want to see in the whitehouse.

Great post OP. No candidate is without their flaws, but challenges facing us are too great. We're stuck in a war without end, an economy on the edge of a cliff, a dysfunctional government run by, for and of the top 1%. We've gotta come together if we're going to restore this democracy and frankly I don't see McCain or Hillary accomplishing that.

The one thing that keeps coming to the forefront of my mind, is that IF we elected McCain, the WORLD will know without doubt that we endorsed the BUSH regime. IF we dare to vote for CHANGE, whether or not it is delivered, at least the WORLD will recognize OUR desire FOR change and the end of fear-mongering, intrusion and power-mongering. The AMERICAN people are on trial in this election, according to the WORLD at large.

Think about it. We DO need allies and respect around the world, imho.

Great!
Heres what you going to get!
Just what this economy needs....NOT!

"during an interview on NBC's Meet the Press, Obama said subjecting more of a person's income to the payroll tax is the option he would push for if elected president".

A "Dirty Energy" Tax. “What we ought to tax is dirty energy, like coal and, to a lesser extent, natural gas," he told the San Antonio Express-News last month.

And guess who will pay this? US!

Clinton friend Reich backs Obama
Posted: 07:10 PM ET

Reich is a former Clinton administration member.

(CNN) — Robert Reich, a former Clinton cabinet member and longtime friend of the former president, has formally endorsed Barack Obama's White House bid, saying Friday that "my conscience won't let me be silent any longer."

"Although Hillary Clinton has offered solid and sensible policy proposals, Obama's strike me as even more so," Reich wrote on his blog. He served as the Secretary of Labor from 1993-1997 and is currently a professor at UC Berkeley.

Obama is part of the NWO as is Hillary and Mc cain.

As part of the NWO their job as the newly elected governor of the province of USA is to extract as much taxes as possible and send the money to the empire head quartered in the city of London.

The American sheeple are really going to get sheared. It does not matter who they elect. It is the Brit plan to destroy USA as a world power.

Go back to sleep.

"His plans for reforming Social Security and health care have a better chance of succeeding," Reich continued. "His approaches to the housing crisis and the failures of our financial markets are sounder than hers. His ideas for improving our public schools and confronting the problems of poverty and inequality are more coherent and compelling. He has put forward the more enlightened foreign policy and the more thoughtful plan for controlling global warming."

Reich, whose relationship with the Clintons dates back to their law school days at Yale, has long been a critic of the New York senator's White House bid. Shortly before the Iowa caucuses in January, he wrote that voters would have a choice "between someone who talks the talk, and somebody who's walked the walk."

"I don’t get it," he wrote then. "If there’s anyone in the race whose history shows unique courage and character, it's Barack Obama. HRC’s campaign, by contrast, is singularly lacking in conviction about anything."

Reich also criticized Bill Clinton earlier in the year over the former president's sharp attacks on Obama in South Carolina.

“Bill Clinton’s ill-tempered and ill-founded attacks on Barack Obama are doing no credit to the former president, his legacy, or his wife’s campaign," he wrote in January. "Nor are they helping the Democratic Party."

Asked to respond to Reich's endorsement, Clinton spokesman Mo Eleithee said, "Didn't he endorse him last year?"

Reich is the latest former Clinton administration official to announce his support for Barack Obama. Last month, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who held several positions under Bill Clinton, also came out in support of the Illinois senator. Clinton supporter and James Carville later called that as an "act of betrayal." Carville is a CNN political analyst.

Barack Obama is an extreme Leftist and will destroy America. The CPUSA is still covertly active, but the members, like the OP, have infiltrated and infested both major political parties. This is, of course, under the guidance and control of the vile Illuminati, and is the main reason why God is going to allow the destruction of the whole world.........

I agree with this guy, these three bimbos or martial law. It really isn't going to change. I'm tired of every candidate mentioning change and the continue the path of destruction for this country. Bush Sr wrote NAFTA, Clinton got it passed. Two sides of the same coin.

At least with martial law EVERYONE would realize it's not going to change before it comes to a point that no one notices and things are so bad that they would want it.

I'm not for martial law, I'm for everyone waking up. If we have to go thru martial law now for you to do that so be it. We all have to walk this together, but I'm afraid that with any of the three in office, nothing will change except people will want martial law, just like they want security at airports so childrens shoes can't fictiously blow up the plane.
It is time to awaken to your real purpose. It is all up to you.
