Your body keeps the pH of blood in a very narrow range. If you really could make your blood go a lot more alkaline by consuming baking soda, there would be big warnings on boxes of baking soda: WARNING DO NOT EAT YOU MIGHT DIE.
"If the pH of the body gets too low (below 7.4), a condition known as acidosis results. This can be very serious, because many of the chemical reactions that occur in the body, especially those involving proteins, are pH-dependent. Ideally, the pH of the blood should be maintained at 7.4. If the pH drops below 6.8 or rises above 7.8, death may occur. Fortunately, we have buffers in the blood to protect against large changes in pH."

* you can't make significant changes to your internal body chemistry by drinking baking soda or vinegar. If you could, there would be a lot of dead people.
* Your blood is normally slightly alkaline. But that does not mean that making it more alkaline will be good. The pH must stay in a narrow range, or you will die. Getting too alkaline is just as bad as getting too acid. You would die of different things, but you will still die.
* how can drinking vinegar make you more alkaline? Vinegar is a weak acid.
* your body already makes very strong acid for the stomach. This happens in just about everybody. People don't die because they have acid in their stomachs.
* your body already makes its own carbonates and bicarbonates to neutralise the stomach acid, and as buffers to maintain your body pH in the correct range.
