so the moral of this story children is; If you're going to steal 3 tonnes of metal and drive 100mph doing evasive maneuvers, make sure it has good quality tires otherwise you will go to jail.

A helicopter gunship would come in handy in a situation like this.

She should have watched the original OJ high speed chase.

They were only doing 5 mph along the 405 and 20 cop cars couldn't catch them.

I wonder if she'll get her 84 minutes in the slammer. Probably not, because that is only in LA County, and she was stopped in Orange County, so that about triples the time at least.

Can't all the people she endangered sue her in a class action suit? That would be novel.

Not that unusual...in LA anyway.

Two weeks ago I was standing at the corner of Redhill & Warner in Santa Ana waiting for the light to change. I heard a police siren in the distance but didn't think anything of it.

The next thing you know is that the light changed and I was about to cross when another stolen SUV with stolen plates and stolen merchandise driven at over 80 mph by a 23 year old girl veered into the oncoming traffic lane and rammed 2 other vehicles head on and flipped over hitting 3 more.

Right behind came a County Sheriff in hot pursuit. She tried to run, but the officer quickly cuffed her. She was taken to Western Medical Center for minor injuries...AND THERE ESCAPED CUSTODY AGAIN!

They tracked her to her boyfriend's place 20 miles away by using cell phone data and the fact that she entered on her MySpace site that she was not the driver of the car. Yeah, right.

Female Driver Arrested After Wild Chase A dangerous pursuit of a stolen car came to an abrupt end after a high-speed run through three Southern California counties around 12:15 p.m.

After the nearly two hour chase, the female driver in a white Yukon SUV suddenly pulled over and slowed to a stop on Intertstate 5 near Camp Pendleton in San Diego County. CHP officials say they laid down a spike strip several miles before the end of the case which punctured the vehicle's tires.

Helicopter footage showed CHP officers, with guns drawn, ordering the woman out of the vehicle. She was taken into custody without incident.

The vehicle was reported stolen from a car rental agency in Anaheim at 10:40 a.m. and was spotted in East Los Angeles about 15 minutes later, said CHP Officer Vince Ramirez.

"It was originally in the process of being rented when this individual took off with the vehicle," he said.

Ramirez says the vehicle was equipped with an On-Star system which was activated and alerted police.

The driver of the vehicle weaved dangerously in and out of traffic at speeds exceeding 100 miles and hour on several freeways in Los Angeles and Orange counties before entering San Diego County. Officials say the SUV sideswiped a patrol car shortly after the chase began.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, will be charged with felony evading and grand theft auto, among other possible charges.
