Quoting: Anonymous Coward 419047can't believe it happened overnight unless she caught you cheating on her (emotionally/mentally and not necessarily physically). would explain it. what sort of things do you do just to make her days happy? |

And if so, does she still do all the cleaning and possible cooking and child raising, if there are children? If you answered yes to any of the above, I would ask you, do you help her at home? If not, bingo. Of course this is only one theory. But if the woman is working full time and dealing with taking care of you, kids and home, there is no time left for her and she is exhausted and (perhaps unconsciously) resentful. Communication is a must! And without attitude or anger. Remember the love. Good luck OP! hbh |

Relaxed, went to the park on the harbor, ate some health food and most importantly of all I didn't have to hear her bitch about how she doesn't want to do this or that, eat this or that, sit here or there. She's got so many damn rules about everything I am sick and tired of it all. Join the club dude! |

Several times I was in a relationship and caught just the faintest *flicker* of what you describe, and my gut instinct told me this was just the tip of the iceberg, that it would become greatly magnified if I made the mistake of marrying her. So single I remain. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 404286good advice. don't make the same mistake i did and wait until it nearly kills you from the stress, frustration and isolation. Move on My wife and I seperated for 1.5 years. We're back together now but I think it was necessary for us to seperate at the time (situation was much like OP's). Now we appreciate each other a little more. Yes we do have kids and it was hard but things are a lot better for us now. Oh, and I also have my own bedroom in the basement she's got hers upstairs. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 419047Why do women hate men? My sister, with whom I get on really well, explained it to me once. "If we have babies our lives turn into a messy nightmare. if we don't we turn into bitter hormonal bitches. We're fucked either way. You men....." It's envy. Women don't really enjoy life much without it being hugley complicated and emotionally daramatic, but we men just have simple needs and pleasures. So they have to make our lives as shitty and fucked up as their's are... because that way they can enjoy the mutual pain. |

If a womans screw me every night but won't sleep with me, I would get rid of her. (that's never happend) Falling asleep in someones arms is second on my "must have" list. After being married three times and having other women live with me at other times, I have to have a spoon sleeper. |

Once that happens they become the boss and they never let you forget it . Quoting: Anonymous Coward 397538The trick is to let them think they are the boss but in reality you have the upper hand. The art of constructive manipulation maintains civility. While temporarily devious, it allows a timeframe (a day, a week, whatever) where things may be resolved. My wife has the same level of bitchdom today as she did when we were married. "...they become the boss and they never let you forget it...", does not apply. She thinks she is the boss, and I'd be a fool to esuage her delusion. The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty. The glass is 2x as big as it needs to be. |
