Women know they can't attract a man if they act bitchy from the start , so they lay on the sweet stuff until the ring is on the finger . Once that happens they become the boss and they never let you forget it .

can't believe it happened overnight unless she caught you cheating on her (emotionally/mentally and not necessarily physically). would explain it. what sort of things do you do just to make her days happy?

Having no idea what your situation is like, I would ask you, do you both work? And if so, does she still do all the cleaning and possible cooking and child raising, if there are children?

If you answered yes to any of the above, I would ask you, do you help her at home? If not, bingo.

Of course this is only one theory. But if the woman is working full time and dealing with taking care of you, kids and home, there is no time left for her and she is exhausted and (perhaps unconsciously) resentful.

Communication is a must! And without attitude or anger. Remember the love.

Yea my wife told me to go out by myself today. I had a great day without her. Relaxed, went to the park on the harbor, ate some health food and most importantly of all I didn't have to hear her bitch about how she doesn't want to do this or that, eat this or that, sit here or there. My wife and I seperated for 1.5 years. We're back together now but I think it was necessary for us to seperate at the time (situation was much like OP's).
Now we appreciate each other a little more. Yes we do have kids and it was hard but things are a lot better for us now.

Oh, and I also have my own bedroom in the basement she's got hers upstairs.

Separate rooms are out for me. I'm a spoon sleeper. If a womans screw me every night but won't sleep with me, I would get rid of her. (that's never happend)

Falling asleep in someones arms is second on my "must have" list. After being married three times and having other women live with me at other times, I have to have a spoon sleeper.

The trick is to let them think they are the boss but in reality you have the upper hand. The art of constructive manipulation maintains civility. While temporarily devious, it allows a timeframe (a day, a week, whatever) where things may be resolved.
