Anonymous Coward User ID: 419226 United States 04/20/2008 05:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, it is a little late for the first thing! Ice and cold water. Before you put any oil product on it, use aloe vera until there is no more sting. It will pull out the heat. Then, If you don't want scarring use a calendula/comfrey salve and if the burn is big bandage it to keep it clean. If you never let it scab, it won't scar. But a wedding tomorrow? Hmm. Make up a good story. |

3rd Day Rising User ID: 291612 United States 04/20/2008 05:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Took a bite of a pop-tart that was too hot and the filling burned my upper lip. Its a typical first degree burn that now, the next day, has a white blister covering the wound. I have a sad but important family event tomorrow, and would like to not have a big visible area on my lip which I would be asked about if I can. Does anyone have any advice? Quoting: Calibob1 word OP. Vinegar. No kidding. I did the same with hot water and my wife showed me this trick. Pretty cool and it works... |
blackcat66 User ID: 348276 United States 04/20/2008 05:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Aloe plant is the best. Break the aloe plant, and rub the aloe fluid on the burn. Quoting: SickscentYes, that is the best. Just one warning: Don't expose the part that has the Aloe vera to the sunlight because it 'stains' the skin and it is really hard to get rid of it. Also be careful with your clothes. I am talking about the real Aloe Vera the plant, not the ointments that are sold at drugstures. |

Monarch User ID: 416461 United States 04/20/2008 05:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Use RAW honey. Quoting: AminahI agree. Raw Honey is so good they're now putting it in Bandaids :)! Antibiotic and Probiotic features. Manuka is best, but reg. honey will do the same (darker the better. Make sure it's not diluted with water and sugar, pure honey only. Vinegar is a trick for SUNBURN mixed with water, don't think it'll help with burns. John 3:16 (Amplified Bible) “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([a]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. mercury2 User ID: 420502 France 04/21/2008 02:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mercury, Quoting: CalibobThanks for your kind thoughts. It was an unexpected loss, so it is tough. I want you to know I will update the horse racing thread this week. I miss talking to you guys, and the Derby is two short weeks away. Hey Calibob, hope you are okay today. I am looking forward to some more horse racing discussion with the derby coming up. You definitely have a good thing going with that thread. My good friend was posting on that thread but unfortunately his ISP is banned, he is frustrated that he can't post here. He can read, but not post. So that is too bad we have lost his contributions on the horse racing thread for now. |
